Turns out the fastest way to get my first football was… not by making an NFL roster. 🏈😂 Making it onto the podium in my first race back from injury felt pretty special, but the something much bigger made this event memorable. The @thedeangelowilliamsfoundation 53 Strong DeAthlon is about so much more than racing. Every registration and donation helps fund free mammograms for uninsured and underinsured women, along with follow-up care and treatment when it’s needed. The foundation was created in honor of DeAngelo’s mom, Sandra, and his four aunts, all of whom lost their lives to breast cancer. Through the 53 Strong for Sandra program, they’ve already helped provide nearly 1,000 mammograms and continue expanding access to lifesaving screenings in our communities. Events like this are a reminder that endurance sports can be about something much bigger than finish times. They bring people together to create real impact and help save lives. Huge thanks to @deangelowilliams and everyone who made this incredible event possible. I’ll proudly take home my signed football… but knowing we rode and ran for a cause that truly matters is the real win. ❤️ Thanks to @hoka for the shoes that made it through the run and the bike (not recommended) and @alwrld_sport for the race fit! Thanks to all the amazing sponsors from @breezewaycoffeewaverly to @novanthealth @humagel @chamoisbuttr @bodyhealtherapy @giordanacycling @harristeeter @theperformanceu @elitewaxhaw any anyone else I missed! #53Strong #DeAthlon #BreastCancerAwareness #RaceForACause CyclingCommunity RunningCommunity Podium BackFromInjury

Another fun year for the 53 Strong DeAthlon with awesome friends @thedeangelowilliamsfoundation !! I was able to win the run & individual duathlon categories for the 3rd straight year, with my fastest run time & negative split on the current run course & solid bike day, to help be a part of our Predator team win again at the DeAthlon! One of my favorite events to look forward to each year for a wonderful cause in fighting breast cancer & providing free mammograms 💝
