- Tom Sachs Chanel heel + ballet flat process -

I’ve been pretty stoked to share this one for a while. Back in January, quite literally right before moving to Boston from Brooklyn, I was cleaning out my supplies at Brooklyn shoe space when Tom came through and asked @willlchambers and I if we could modify a ballet flat last to fit the toe of some Chanel heels he stole from his wife’s closet. Quickly from here, we both were asked to come in for a few week stint and churn out 3 silhouettes in prep for an upcoming show.

This challenge, replicated the footwear as traditionally as possible using only cardboard as the base medium.

I’m exceptionally proud of what we were able to make and stoked to see the collection available to the public for viewing @31ruecambon_ . Please go check it out if around the area<3

Finally, something most exciting about this project that came as a shock was the product feature in @newyorkermag covering the exhibition. Who woulda thought?

note: I do not own any final product rights or imagery within this post. Purely for portfolio use. If any credit missed, please comment or DM and I will make sure you are represented.

Thank you to everyone involved again and while a rare project not related to running, always continue to spread the love of the sport.
