Here’s the Director’s Cut of the intro to our latest video.

For Tone3000’s newest instructional video, we took the mics somewhere sound behaves differently, the catacombs beneath Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn. Stone, geometry and centuries of reverb doing what no plugin can fake.

Getting a mic into a catacomb is not as simple as it sounds.

Behind the scenes of our latest for Tone3000, the gear, the crew, and the very patient process of capturing tones from a space that’s older than any sound we make.

Turns out the hardest part wasn’t the recording. It was everything it took to get down there.
