The Austin Songwriters Circle lives and breathes! What a beautiful evening of story and song, of connection and community. So much gratitude for all y’all who came out to listen, to be a part of the evenin. A Song cannot live without connection to others. And so much gratitude for the songwriters who made this happen, our first ever Austin Songwriter Circle series! A Song cannot live without its Singer. Thank you @nathanhamilton023 @jakefarrmusic @aliandthewildgeese @prestonhester_ @johntheplumberatx @philip.maxey.gibbs

These are the joys of a lifetime. Couldn’t count the times I took a look around and felt truly grateful for all we share together.

A clip from our full video release (link in bio) of Jolene LIVE in Austin shot by @younggunlou with @eric_a_booth on video and audio recording - spewing 🔥 is @thatjazzpunk on #violin #fiddle @dsbbass on #uprightbass @willmanningguitar on #fingerpicking #guitar and myself @alicook.music on vocals

#tbh I don't think about the lyrics of Jolene more than the fact that it's Dolly's story. I do think about how the guys make a tasty, funky, americana groove for it 😇🤘🎶
