Last month I co -hosted our first ‘CREATING BETTER’ event with @oratorsinc at @curve.club.official, bringing together creatives from design, tech and media to share conversation and ideas around one table.

Since then, I’ve been thinking about what creating better really means. As a designer and presenter who supports many B Corp businesses, I’m passionate about how we live and the way in which things are made.

I was recently watching @granddesignstv , where they spoke about the Swedish phrase “lagom” meaning “just enough.” It’s a concept that really stayed with me. In a world that often celebrates ‘more’, there’s something so grounding about the idea of ‘enough’.

It’s the same spirit that runs through my series @thenewmakers_tv , where I get to meet and talk to people reimagining modern design through traditional techniques, creating objects that tell stories, that last, that mean something. It all connects back to this idea of making and living with purpose.

I believe that ‘creating better’ is really about finding balance, beauty and meaning in the things we choose to make, and the way we choose to live. What does creating better mean to you? 💚

Thanks again to @willowandwareprops for creating the most beautiful setting with there wonderful props.

On Friday I had the pleasure of hosting ‘Creating Better’ with @oratorsinc at the @curve.club.official — an evening designed to connect creatives from design, tech and media.

It was wonderful to see how conversation, over a shared table, can spark new ideas and collaborations.

Huge thanks to @glasshouseprops for creating the most thoughtful setting and for introducing us to your inspiring work. I loved guiding the evening and can’t wait for more opportunities to host and connect people in this way.
