POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What makes a story worth telling? How do filmmakers pick their next projects? What motivates a filmmaker to devote their time and energy to capturing these stories and what does it mean to share their films with audiences?

Join us on October 24: 3:00 - 4:30 PM for an intimate behind the scenes conversation about how filmmakers find the stories they choose to tell.

Featured filmmakers: Amy Jenkins, director of "Adam's Apple," Matty Wishnow, director of "The Last Critic," Will Ropp, director of "Brian" and producer Thomas Mahoney and, JJ Gerber, director of "The Life We Leave." Meredith Lavitt, filmmaker/producer and former Director, Sundance Ignite will moderate.

Light snacks and beverages included in the ticket price, plus a free 2hr electric bike rental from Summit County Bike Share. Code will be sent with ticket!

For tickets, please visit us at parkcityfilmfest.org.

BRIAN follows Brian: smart, funny, and deeply depressed. A disastrous drama club audition leads to a public meltdown, thus beginning Brian’s search for his new “thing.” With help from his therapist and the new kid, Justin, Brian launches his high-stakes campaign and sparks a messy, exquisitely awkward journey toward self-acceptance. 10 incredible films. 3 impactful days. Mindblowing stories you’ll be thinking about long after the credits roll. 🎥

Our inaugural lineup is made up of ten independent films that stuck with us. Funny, moving, challenging, and deeply human stories about identity, belonging, love, loss, ambition, and the way we see the world.

Some will make you laugh and some will challenge the way you think. And some might just stay with you for a very, very long time.

And by the way...that’s the whole point!

So proud of Big Swell Entertainment, together with @andyhorwitz and @aarontheh, to be producing our second feature film this year. Such an amazing experience bringing this to life in NYC together with @caseyhanley and @jack__alberts, from a terrific, nuanced script by @jeremyleder and under the calm and assured direction of @willropp.
