ChatGPT: This verse begins the priestly blessing God gave Aaron and the priests to speak over Israel: “May the LORD bless you and protect you.” (NLT)

To be blessed by God means more than receiving material prosperity. It refers to experiencing God’s favor, goodness, provision, and presence. For God to protect or “keep” His people means that He faithfully watches over and preserves those who belong to Him according to His purposes.

The larger blessing in Numbers 6:24–26 asks God to bless His people, show them His favor, give them grace, and grant them peace. Ultimately, Christians see the fullness of these blessings through their relationship with Christ.

Key takeaway:

Believers can depend upon God as the source of every true blessing and their faithful keeper. His blessing is ultimately about having His presence, favor, care, and peace—not simply receiving earthly prosperity.
