BIMM Freshers 2026!! 🥳🎉

What a couple of weeks it’s been welcoming all our new and returning students into the new academic year

Gigs. Boat party. Zine-making. Panel talks. Yoga. Open mics. The spread of events was crazy!

We’ve loved seeing you all get stuck into everything Freshers had to offer, both on and off campus.

A huge shoutout to all our Events teams working behind the scenes to make it happen, as well as the brilliant students who helped bring these events to life.

To everyone who came along, performed, danced, made something, met someone new or just got involved, thank you for making Freshers 2026 what it was! 💙

A MONTH OF SUNDAYS AT @WAXINGPINK ☕️

There are hours and hours of community radio up on our @mixcloud for playback, originally recorded with a live cafe audience at Pink Moon.

We’ve been there pretty much every Sunday all-summer long and following a short break for festivals, carnivals and just a bit of time for our producers to relax, we’ll be back to it from September 20th.

Offie Radio, each and every Sunday at Pink Moon from there on, where something big is brewing.

Many thanks to our show hosts, cafe hosts, live audience who’ve been rocking up, online audience tuning in and the producers (Josh, Eddie, Matty) making it happen.

Full ̶h̶o̶u̶s̶e̶ garden with @big_____ears 🌱

Big gratitude to everyone who came and shared the garden-courtyard-alleyway-dancefloor.

@brickcellphone opened up, @elsa__yeah, @shadrackkm and @embluegammon kept the big custom-made soundsystem pulsing, before @darebalogun and @shyclart - fresh from the Thameslink - gave a debut and rare Brighton appearance, respectively - to remember.

Big Ears closed whilst Spain were getting kicked about on a projector indoors on their way to winning the World Cup, long-after the doors had closed and while we were sliding massive subs around.

Definitely one for the books and definitely one we’ll do again, made possible thanks to our gracious hosts @waxingpink.

IN-PERSON LISTENING EVERY SUNDAY IN BRIGHTON 🙂‍↕️

One of the reasons we started OFFIE RADIO was because we wanted to try new things.

Doing radio in person was high on that list.

We’ve long been inspired by stations like The Lot Radio in New York and Kiosk Radio in Brussels. Places where the community part of community radio isn’t just a buzzword because people actually bump into each other and just sort of hang out. The fact this will be happening in a rather lovely cafe/bar that serves very crisp, very cold pints in frosted glasses, is just a bonus.

Every Sunday from 12pm, DJs, artists, journalists, collectors and music lovers will take over the airwaves while the café carries on around them. The radio supports the café. The café supports the radio.

A huge thank you to @waxingpink for getting behind the idea and helping make it happen.

Rock up. Bring a friend. Come alone. It’s free.

@brighton_music_cup is back and this time it’s not just about what happens on the pitch.

Returning for its second edition, the tournament has levelled up into a week-long run of events bringing together artists, grassroots industry folk and the wider creative community.

This year’s programme includes the Women In The Industry panel, curated in collaboration with @_.agenda.collective._ and hosted by our editor.

There’s more fun to be had at the warm-up party and group stage draw at @greendoorstore, plus a community 5k and networking run with @alwaysflow__, @pommyspizza and @luckysaintbeer ahead of the main event of friendly footie.

As founder @bradb_tm puts it:

“This year feels less like a sequel and more like the beginning of what the Brighton Music Cup can really become.”

After appearing on In Terra’s inaugural ‘ENOCHIA’ compilation last year with his transportive track ’Nocturne / Exeter St. Davids’, Sebastian returns to the label with ‘Helvetian Snare’. An ethereal collage of dreamlike atmospheres and reversed memories.

Through these enchanted frequencies, Sebastian pulls us through a surreal mist... a step through a mythic veil, into a primordial state of quietude and reminiscence.
