Bye, Summer. You took me all over when home wasn’t possible. Endless love to my people who held me and housed me.

It’s been a couple years since Hobo Code was released, but today we came across the most lovely review of our little-podcast-that-could from a Canadien listener named “Tuna_Cowbell.” The review is from last year, but we’re just seeing it now and it hits us directly in the feels.

Tuna, if you’re out there, thank you so much for sharing your feelings about Buts, Brother Isaac, Gadabout Jack, Missus Bestfriend, and this world of ours. We loved making it and we love that it touched your heart (last year).

The work is exciting. The artists are incredible. But also…Keen’s Mixtape Series is just a really good hang.

AAPI Night at Alex Lin’s CHINESE REPUBLICANS at Roundabout!

Our cast includes Jennifer Ikeda, Ben Langhorst, Jully Lee, Jodi Long, and Anna Zavelson.

Our fight directors are David Anzuelo and Sean Griffin. Wig Designer is Tom Watson. Our Assistant Director is Tai Thompson, and the dramaturg is Mari Tompkins.

Our production stage manager is Christopher Kee Anaya-Gorman. Ada Chang is the Assistant Stage Manager, and Hannah Marks is the Production Assistant.

Performances through April 5, 2026.

Shifting between sharp-tongued humor and the harsh realities of modern capitalism, this world premiere production explores themes of assimilation, intergenerational conflict, and gender politics in the workplace—all with unflinching wit and empathy. CHINESE REPUBLICANS is a new play from a thrilling new American voice, and tells a truly American story.

21 years ago I met my dear @willyv when we were but babes. We’re still babes now, but we were then too. My forever theatre date.
Oh and also I met Jane Kaczmarek and my life has changed forever. (Also a babe)
