Life’s Short Anyway ❤️

But making this took FOREVER
This is a collage of moments I’ve had this spring semester, the longest and shortest 4 months of my life. I’m incredibly grateful for everything, everyone, and every experience that life has gifted me 🫶

The debut of The Fashion Circuit in Des Moines was an incredible showcase of creativity, with College of Design students playing a major role in the event.

Shoutouts to:
Wilnuse Riphin, an industrial design student, who led the creative direction for the Fellow Class Photo Project as a 2025 Spring Creative Fellow. @wilnuse

Brian Ibarra, a second-year architecture student with a passion for sustainability, whose innovative approach added a fresh perspective to the show’s designs as a 2025 Design Fellow. @uarbrain

These students proved that creativity takes many forms, both on the runway and behind the scenes. Be sure to check out Iris’ reel for a glimpse of the event. @the.fashioncircuit

Meet our Spring 2025 Creative Fellows — the minds behind the media and the visionaries helping us shape the story of Fashion Circuit from every angle.

Each of these emerging creatives has taken the lead on a signature project that will debut as part of this year’s Spring Showcase, happening next Friday, April 18th at @olsonlarsengalleries:

Peyton Houangvan (@peyton_van_ ), a first-gen Tai Dam American and student at @grandviewuniversity , has served as our Design Journalist — interviewing every designer in this year’s show for a special visual installation inside. She also wrote our first feature in @blackiowanews spotlighting Creative Directors Sandrah Nasimiyu (@lovequeensosa) & Izzy Kelai (@sow.rootz).

Marcelo Acosta(@marcelo_acosta102), a UNI marketing major and digital media creative, is the Editor-in-Chief behind our debut Fashion Circuit Digital Magazine — launching on our website during the show to offer a deeper look into the designers, fellows, and everything the Fashion Circuit. He also leads @uni_prolificmagazine at @northern_iowa , uplifting student voices and storytelling rooted in creativity and culture.

Wilnuse Riphin(@wilnuse) , an Industrial Design student at @iowastateu, led art direction for our Fellow Class Photo Project — a bold visual series celebrating the identity and creativity of our Spring 2025 cohort, set to drop next week.

From interviews to installations to editorial drops, these three have shaped the soul of this showcase — and we can’t wait for you to experience it next Friday.
