Prime Time 2027 & Rye (NY) FOGO Wilson Redd commits to Hamilton College!

An elite athlete at the faceoff X, Wilson dominates with a combination of high-level technique, explosiveness, and athleticism. His dominance at the X played a major role in helping lead Rye to a New York State Championship this spring.

Wilson is also a major threat with the ball in his stick — pushing transition, creating offense, and finishing plays himself.

We can’t wait to watch Wilson take the next step at Hamilton!

Congrats, Wilson!

Introducing our faceoff man: Wilson #Redd. He is an absolute menace at the stripe and can push the ball in transition with speed. Plus he is a very very #handsome kid. Some say that he is so cute that the opposing faceoff man has no choice but to stare into his 👀 and drop the ⚽️.

SHOUTOUT @wilson_redd08 and RYE LACROSSE FOR WINNING THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!

Today I want to highlight 2 faceoffs from Rye’s win that resulted in goals, and how Faceoff wingplay strategy opened this up.

Notice at the top of the screen Rye’s SS wing in both clips is starting hip to hip.

As soon as the Faceoff guys go down, Rye’s SS now moves and bumps down to around -10 (10 yards back)

The opposing teams LSM now has a choice to make - he can either stay where he is and cut the fast break, or follow the wing to prevent an easy TTL exit.

As soon as the shorty starts moving to -10, he is giving a call to our faceoff guy. If the wing is following him he calls out that our front door exit is open, that they are not cutting the break anymore. If he does not follow and holds his spot, Rye’s SS wing gives a call that out our TTL to wing exit is open.

In both of these clips the wing followed Rye’s SS, leading to a clean front door exit producing 2 goals in Rye’s state final win.

Work SMARTER, not harder!
