Carried some extra special additional baggage through 50km of trails at @ultratrailaustralia this year🤰🥹🥰

Baby ultra runner due later this year and our hearts couldn’t be fuller 🤍✨

This was the hardest race I have ever done, but also the proudest we have ever been to cross a finish line.

Running 50km in the Blue Mountains with 2500m of elevation and 8000 stairs while pregnant was something I didn’t know if I should do- there is so much conflicting information around pregnant woman and exercise. But after much thought, I remembered- women are superheroes! and we don’t know what we’re capable of until we try.

Jorge and I went in with the mindset of listening closely to my body, slowing down, and enjoying being out on the trails in nature with good humans and a strong body. I never expected it to be so hard. Or so many wee breaks. Or so many emotions 😂 And there’s no way I would’ve got through it without the unwavering support and words of encouragement from my bestie Jorge.

It took us 9.5 hours. But we did it 💪

Can’t wait to take on this next adventure together 🥰

Ps. Every woman is so different, so I would encourage any mums-to-be to talk to experts and make decisions based on their own body, health and fitness ❤️
