A title does not erase a report of abuse. Community connections do not replace accountability. Silence is not due diligence.

David McNeilly is president of Mid-Michigan Business Partners, an organization whose credibility depends on trust, referrals and professional reputation.

David is also my brother and my abuser. The person I reported to police for sexually abusing me throughout my childhood.

I have repeatedly offered documentation. I have warned institutions where David later occupied roles involving children, including Heritage Baptist Church and Lansing Christian School. I have now contacted people connected to MMBP’s public Facebook presence.

I am not asking MMBP to decide criminal guilt. I am asking the organization to uphold meaningful standards for the person representing it.

MMBP’s governing leadership should:

1. Formally disclose my abuse and supporting documentation to its governing officers.
2. Arrange an impartial review rather than relying on David, my family or rumors about my mental health and past.
3. Require David to recuse himself and suspend his presidential authority while that review occurs.
4. Tell members and the public what leadership standard it applied and what action it decided to take.

There were years when I was doing everything I could to stay alive. I coped in ways I regret and made choices I would not make today. I have taken responsibility, pursued healing and changed my life.

I can take responsibility for how I survived without accepting responsibility for what was done to me.

My past does not cancel my police report. My trauma does not make documentation disappear. Portraying me as mentally unwell does not relieve anyone of the responsibility to examine the evidence.

This is not an accusation against every MMBP member. It is direct notice to the people responsible for the organization’s leadership, credibility and response.

MMBP now has a choice: conduct a legitimate review or explain publicly why it refused to do so.

You have been informed. What you choose to examine and what you choose to protect will define your organization.

This. This is what the MCC Grand Prix was all about. ❤️

Sadie Mae & Pepper reminding us that racing doesn’t always look the same — and that every corgi deserves their moment to roll, run, and shine. (& all our other wheelies who couldn’t make it — Porkchop, Bella, Ellie, and others!)

The Wheelie Race wasn’t just another race on our schedule. It was a celebration of these incredible corgis, their determination, and the people who love them ENDLESSLY.

This one will stay with us forever. ❤️💛💚

❤️🙏 WHAT. AN. INCREDIBLE. DAY. 🙏❤️

I am still trying to take it all in.

A HUGE thank you to WILX Studio 10 and my new friend Nicole Buchmann for having me on the show today! 📺🎸

From the second I walked through the doors, everyone was so kind, welcoming, encouraging, and absolutely amazing. The entire experience was truly OVER THE TOP AMAZING, and it is something I will never forget.

Nicole, thank you for making me feel so comfortable and welcome. I am incredibly grateful our paths crossed, and I am proud to call you a new friend. ❤️

And to EVERYONE WHO TUNED IN, THANK YOU!!! 🙌

My Facebook and Instagram inboxes were absolutely blowing up with messages, screenshots, congratulations, and words of encouragement. I appreciate every single one of you more than you know.

I am incredibly THANKFUL, GRATEFUL, AND BLESSED. 🙏🎶

And today reminded me of something:

🔥 “Let them doubt you. Let them talk. Let them laugh. Let them tell you that you will never make it. Then keep working until the opportunities you once dreamed about become your reality. Fuck the hate. Fuck the doubt. Fuck the noise. Never make yourself smaller just to make somebody else comfortable with how big you are dreaming.” 🔥

There will always be people who doubt you.

DO IT ANYWAY.

Keep showing up.
Keep working.
Keep believing.
Keep climbing.

Because one day you might find yourself standing in a television studio living a moment somebody once told you would never happen. ❤️📺🎸

Thank you WILX Studio 10.
Thank you Nicole Buchmann.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support me and believe in this crazy journey.

I will never forget where I came from, and I sure as hell am not stopping now.

🔥 WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED. 🔥

Sometimes those fuzzy photos hold the most memories. Thank you @mybellerachelle for allowing us to chat about maternal health often during your time at @wilxstudio10. We look forward to watching you grow more. Please don’t leave Lansing quite yet. We love the way your passion shines through the screen 📺
