It was a pleasure to attend the annual Royal LePage Shelter Foundation’s Night Light Walk in support of Hiatus House.

It was wonderful to see our community come together to raise awareness about domestic violence and support women and children in need.

Thank you to everyone involved who helped make this event possible!

🌞 It was a beautiful day for a walk, the weather was perfect, sun was shining, breeze was light. And a whole bunch of friends, grads and supporters of @weflourish_recovery took advantage of the setting, celebrated by walking 5K along the riverfront.

It is a celebration of 6 years and 600 graduates - plus the cascading change in families across the city and province.

Thank you to every single of you who joined this celebration, also thank you to our sponsors @windsorpolice, @timhortons and @yourwindsordentalcare.

What would our charge be? 🚓

🚨 Smiles that are way too bright?
🚨 Pastry that’s way too flaky in public?
🚨 Possession of deliciously dangerous butter tarts?

Let us know! 🤣

A #Thanksgiving meal shared with over 200 neighbours. That’s how we celebrated Friendsgiving at Glengarry last week!

Our community partners joined us too, chatting with residents and sharing information about local resources and supports.

A special thank you to @windsorpolice and their auxiliary members for serving the meal to our residents, and to Karel DeGraaf, Deputy Chief of Operational Support, for joining us and sharing a few words.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring Friendsgiving together and to all our residents who joined us! #CommunityHousing #CHC #Windsor

I'm sharing some scenes from the “Ann Arbor Blues Festival in Exile” documentary between now and its WIFF premier.
The film screens at the Capitol Theatre Windsor at 6pm on Saturday October 31st. (Halloween)
The "Godfather of Soul” James Brown performed at the festival on Friday September 6th, 1974.
I wasn't yet born in 1974, but my late father Jim Evans worked the festival as a "rookie" Windsor Police Officer.
I poured over 100’s of images taken at the fest, to try and spot my father in attendance.

🏃‍♀️ 🚒 🚑 400+ runners. $11,250 for local causes. One incredible community!

Thanks to everyone who laced up for the 4th Annual Run With Responders 5K and helped support our frontline heroes and their chosen causes!

Today, cheques for $3,750 were presented to the Canadian Mental Health Association - Windsor, Windsor Firefighters Benefit Fund and the Torch Run Ontario. These funds will help support mental health education, inclusion, and community well-being initiatives.

Thank you to the presenting partners and to everyone who ran, walked and cheered us on!
