Getting prepped for Saturday’s whisky tasting at East Kilbride Rugby Club to raise funds for the boys tour to the Lake District that was postponed due to covid.

Tonight’s dram of choice is something quite special, I have gone for Longmorn 18 years old single malt. A classic Speyside whisky with phenomenal creamy toffee notes on the nose and taste.
It’s been slim pickings over the past few weeks on the hunt for objet d’art but still managed to snag a few bargains on my travels. 😎🥃🥃🏆

Last week was a memorable one as I had the honour of hosting a Secret Speyside dinner, marking one of the first events for Le Cercle in France.

The menu was expertly crafted by @thibautspiwack and accompanied by an array of remarkable drams from the collection.

From the lost distillery Caperdonich, to the hidden gem of Braes of Glenlivet, and our landmark distillery Glen
Keith, sprinkled with a couple of very special vintages, this was a soirée to remember.

Don’t be silly everyone, we don’t, it’s just me! But now i have your attention- Did you know we have an extra long fermentation for Scapa which is then charged into our Lomond still to distill the low wines? Up to 28-30% abv this shaped still is rarely seen in our industry and is a true copper boy, crafting our rarely seen honeyed spirit 🍯
