Thanks y’all for joining us in celebrating Natural Magic II’s release into the Collective Mind. It really wasn’t until we saw Pith’s cover art that we truly felt the album made sense, and it wasn’t until Zoe showed up with an olive oil cake covered in the album artwork that we felt anything made any sense. We love you buds. All of u. 🪄🤍

Portland ~~~ this Sunday, December 14 I’m hosting a full day of Shad Mode programming with @ily2.ily2

11–1pm: Fish skin tanning workshop at PICA. We’ll work hands-on with real fish skins, transforming local fish waste into flexible leather using natural, chemical-free methods. We’ll cover process, material history, and preservation — tactile, messy, and very satisfying. Only a few spots left

5pm: Evening talk at Stelo Arts with Lucy Cotter. I’ll be sharing the behind-the-scenes research, fieldwork, and material experiments that led to Shad Mode — from Bonneville Dam to tribal hatcheries, lamprey, sturgeon, and biomaterials. Free and open to the public.

Both events are walkable from @ily2.ily2 — come spend the day with us 🎣

I’m still vibrating from spending this past summer in Portland with @ily2.ily2 to research and develop a show. Being there genuinely shifted something for me — the place, the people, the conversations, the water. I’ve been feeling so grateful for everyone I met, the generosity of new friends and fish lovers, the stories and ecologies of lamprey, sturgeon, and salmon in the PNW, and the tribal communities who shared their knowledge and time.

I’ll be back in Portland next week for programming — stay tuned for details or reach out to @ily2.ily2

Thank you so much to the whole ILY2 team for making my dreams a reality and trusting my wild ideas. Portland changed me!!
