Depression doesn’t just look like not being able to get out of bed or not being able to stop crying. It looks like going through the motions, keeping yourself as busy as possible, losing interest in the things you once cared about, and feeling numb or like everything’s pointless. In honor of National Depression Awareness Month, you’re invited to walk/run a 5K on Sunday, October 25. We’ll be meeting at 9:30 am at the Grand Army Plaza arch, and we’ll end the 5K with some coffee at Winner in the Park. More details and the RSVP are at the link in my profile. All are welcome & I hope to see you then! 💜 #mentalhealth #depression #therapistofinstagram #nycevents #brooklyn

Capturing some highlights of my trip stateside: Alexandria, Virginia, DC, Baltimore, Maryland, NYC. Such a treat to catch up with so many friends (not pictured), and never enough time to see everyone. Also not pictured: quality time with the fam and hours on the floor going through old stuff in my room to give away and throw away. See previous posts for the other fun stuff I got up to! #PAVusa

I got so caught up in everything we have starting this month that I forgot to say: WE’VE BEEN AROUND FOR 5 MONTHS. So here’s a little photo dump 🫶 On a personal note, I just want to say thank you to all of the Backyard Baddies (aka Backyardigans) who make up this community. You all genuinely help me get out of bed in the morning, and I’ve found more joy, compassion, and support through this little project than I have in many other parts of my life. Thank you for running with me — and may we all keep moving together. Love yous 🦋 Where we ran in May: @darknecessity.ny @rita.und.maria @winnerinthepark @rel8tiv

Spicy group rides not sating your need for speed, but not quite sure how to make the jump to the next level??? Join us on SUNDAY MAY 31 at Winner in the Park, in collaboration with all.ways cycling club and race team, for a Racing 101 session, where we’ll discuss the different types of bike racing in the NYC area, and how to get started. After the session, we’ll set off on a social ride, starting with a couple of laps around Prospect Park in different pace groups, where you can practice riding in a peloton (16-17 mph) or take it easy (13mph). From the park, we’ll take the long way to Athena Keke’s @athenakekesnyc , a sports bar dedicated to women’s sports. Ride safe, ride prepared, ride at your own risk 🏁

fat dump mam - finally tried this spot! got the bun dau dac biet. ok i like to think im not a picky eater but i think this was just a lot to split between 2 people. there's blood sausage, fried tofu, intestines, w a fermented shrimp sauce. it was good but i think the flavours were just really intense for my palate i felt like i couldn't eat that much of it. same with the eggplant it was so tasty but w the fried garlic and egg in the dipping sauce it was a lot especially for lunch. think i just wasn't mentally prepared for the heavy flavours LOL Milkweed studio - relatively new spot i think! mexican mocha was good. good dark chocolate flavor Crown Shy - ngl was a bit disappointed by this place. Rigatoni was good but came out slightly cold. Mains were just ok the chicken was lowkey too spicy. bread was fire tho C&B - usually only get the sandwiches here but the kouign amann was actually so fire would get again Winner - went to the pop up in Margot the egg was such a pleasant texture bunch of other misc places i've been to so many times before
