This week we’re bringing back coaching sessions with Marcus, Ron, and Theo to help you tackle whatever you’re building next.

Whether you’re growing a business, developing your next product, or looking for guidance on your next big move, they’ll be there to answer questions, share insights, and help you move forward.

Come ready with your ideas & we’ll see you there.

We enjoyed you all so much last week that we’re running it back again next week for another great conversation.

This time, we’re joined by Ada Mbonu (@notaryabouttown), who’ll be leading a conversation on what it really takes to build sustainable community, both online and offline.

Come ready to learn, connect, and leave with ideas you can put into practice. We can’t wait to see you there.

After the dialogue, the epilogue continues over at @checkerbar for one last chance to network, continue the conversation, and build community together.

The meetup may end, but the connections don’t have to. We’ll see you there.

See You Then!

Join DevsCreate for a conversation with Diop Shumake (@diopshumake), Founder and Executive Director of Kairos Research & 98Tech, as we explore what it means to build across technology, community, research, and entrepreneurship.

Come ready to think, connect, and build.

To the citizens of State Senate District 3,

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the tremendous showing of support that made me the Democratic nominee for Michigan State Senate.

Team Conyers worked incredibly hard for this victory. When OutKast was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, André 3000 said, “Great things start in little rooms.” Ours did. This campaign was powered by a part-time staff of six and a handful of dedicated volunteers working out of a little room at Gratiot and Mapleridge, in the heart of this district. Together, we made more than 12,000 street contacts, knocked nearly 4,000 doors, and made more than 8,000 calls. Every Thursday, our volunteers showed up to phone bank—some even calling from out of state—because they believed in what we were building.

Our campaign reflects the story of so many people across this district: making the most of what you have, working hard, and believing you can build something bigger that improves the lives of the people around you.

To Detroit, Highland Park, and Hamtramck: thank you. I am grateful, humbled, and ready to get to work on your behalf.

We won the Democratic nomination, but our work is not finished. Between now and November, we will continue earning your trust, listening to our communities, and building a coalition prepared to deliver for this district in Lansing.

Throughout this campaign, people have told me, “You have big shoes to fill.” What I have learned is that legacy is not footwear—it’s direction. I am proud of where I come from, but this campaign has always been about where we can go together.
Thank you for putting your trust in me.

Discussing transitions this season has been crazy because I have been feeling all the feelings, doing the work, healing, being obedient in total surrender IN REAL TIMEEEEEEE 😭

My brother came on this episode & took over MY show! 🙃😂 We had a blast though! You have to see it for yourself though!

Shoutout to my HOMETEAM (🗣️ “Squaaaaaad”) — Pastor Chioke, Apostles Bobby and Carolyn Bracy, and the entire Shiloh 2.0 [ @_shiloh2.0 ] family — for showing love to Taste of Flavor. 🍹✨

Shiloh has been more than a church home for me these last four years. It’s been love, accountability, growth, prayer, correction, encouragement, and community all in one place.

So when the people who have watched you grow also support what you’re building, that kind of love lands different.

Much love to my Shiloh 2.0 family for standing with me, praying for me, and now becoming part of the Flavor Lovers crew.

If you’re looking for a place of covering, to worship, grow, and be surrounded by real community, come visit Shiloh Deliverance Church — Shiloh 2.0 — today and every Sunday at 10 AM.
