It’s post exam season, which means it’s on to my nutritional research project, writing my thesis and re-introduction of a social life 😄

This summer has felt strange at times. I’ve had more unproductive days than usual and often found myself feeling guilty about not doing ‘enough’. Friends have reminded me that this kind of time off doesn’t come around often in adulthood, and I should make the most of it while I can. So I’m learning to see rest as something valuable, not wasted, although this definitely doesn’t feel natural to me.

As for starting my Master’s next month, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t anxious. Losing control of my own schedule, the morning commute on the Central Line (and changing at Bank 🥴), exams, and balancing everything whilst trying to run a business. It all makes me nervous. I still even get the same recurring nightmare where finals are around the corner, I don’t know the date, and I haven’t even started studying for them.

But here we are, 4 weeks to go and I’m incredibly grateful to be in a position to have these opportunities to be pushed right out of my comfort zone!

A big big thank you to @daviddoran_ for this illustration of us, and of course Winnie, at the Corner Room restaurant (now Elis) where we had our first date on the 10th May 2015.

More wedding content coming soon 🫶
