This statement, made at a Black Muslim rally in 1963, was met with applause and laughter, and he further elaborated that, as an old farm boy, he was never saddened by chickens coming home to roost. The chickens coming home to roost” is an idiom meaning that past wrongdoings, bad decisions, or actions will eventually have inevitable, often unpleasant, consequences that come back to affect the person responsible. The phrase highlights the idea that you cannot escape the repercussions of your actions forever; they will eventually return, much like chickens returning to their coop at the end of the day.

This is my great uncle Harold and jack they fought in world war 2 went all around the world and used to tell us about all the great people they met in Uk France and Europe back in the day ,They always taught us to be open minded and treat everyone as equals even though they came back to the US and treated with prejudices beyond belief, even though they were fighting for equality and freedom, is more OX then the initial oxymorons that called them everything but a son of god when they came back to the US, unfortunately they both succumbed to alcoholism after years of being denied benefits that the United States owed them, this place truly sux shit… the atmosphere of recent gives hint to their stories ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽stand up organize! #MAKEAMERICAGREATAGAIN......When police beat and blinded a Black man, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People turned to Citizen Kane director and famous radio broadcaster Orson Welles to tell his story.In World War II Isaac Woodard served as a longshoreman, unloading ships in the Pacific theater while under fire. After his honorable discharge from the military on February 12, 1946, Woodard set out to meet his wife, catching a Greyhound bus from Georgia to South Carolina, where the 26-year-old Black man grew up under segregation and Jim Crow. But just a few hours after his discharge, while still wearing his uniform, police forced Woodard from the bus in the town of Batesburg (now Batesburg-Leesville), South Carolina.

Several officers, including the town’s police chief Lynwood Shull, took Woodard to an alleyway, where they beat him with nightsticks. Then they arrested him for disorderly conduct, jailed him, then beat him throughout the night, jabbing him in the eyes so many times with their billy clubs that the globes were irreparably damaged.

The next morning, Woodard was brought before a local judge and fined fifty dollars. He wouldn’t receive medical assistance for a further two days. Suffering from temporary amnesia after the attack, Woodard wasn’t found by his family for three weeks. The assault left him permanently blind.
