PAX is always such a weird, magical time for me but this PAX was extra so - in all the best of ways.

I started attending PAX shortly after moving to Melbourne as a table top teacher for the Melbourne Adventurers League - something I am proud to continue doing to this day. AL is how I learned Dungeons and Dragons, and it brings me so much joy teaching this wonderful game to new players (or even just entertaining some veterans for a few hours).

Then in 2021 I appeared on TV, and that opened doors - suddenly I was being asked to be on streams and panels. To appear before audiences, audiences who are (seemingly!) happy watching me roll dice and do voices as a silly character. I felt the heavy weight of that responsibility - to entertain. An audience's time is so valuable, and as someone who is privileged enough to occasionally get it, I try to keep that fact close to heart.

This year I not only taught D&D and appeared in panels, but I ran a panel of my own. Too Many Warlocks was my chance to invite literally some of my favourite people on the planet - including people who have never been to PAX, into this weird and wacky world of mine.

I am so humbled and honoured, and tired. Thanks everyone I saw, even if only briefly, for making it a memorable weekend. Cannot wait for next year!

One Warlock. Five Patrons. Serious Commitment Issues.

Can't believe it's #paxaus @paxaus already, and this Sunday at 10.30am you can catch me and some of my favourite people on this planet being extra silly for your amusement.

In Too Many Patrons: A Warlock Identity Crisis, you'll meet Malakor the Indomitable - an evil villain who has made a deal with an other worldly entity for incredible powers. The catch? He did it 5 times, with five different entities! And now they have to share him.

To make matters worse a group of "heroes" is knocking on Malakor's door trying to foil his evil plans!

Think Inside Out meets Megamind meets Lord of the Rings! Its going to be a blast, hope to see you there!

Zelda fans were SO SUPPORTIVE so we tripled down on the idea🫡

Watch out for ✨PROJECT ZELDA✨ coming soon to @winterstalesco @8bitelliott @lnlcovers & @nicktacula

Which game should we start with? 😜

Okay, here’s the Pitch:

I play AS MANY Zelda games as I can in the lead up to the remake of Ocarina of Time, the Zelda Movie and the Music Concert Tour!

And my coaches (and HUGE Zelda fans) train me in how to play, and teach me the ENTIRE Zelda lore as we document the whole journey… That’s right! It’s✨PROJECT ZELDA✨

Do you have faith in @8bitelliott @lnlcovers & @nicktacula to convert me into a TRUE & DEDICATED ZELDA FAN like them? 🤔

We have until the Music Concert coming to Melbourne in May…

@nintendoaunz let’s see how this goes 😅🙈 Can they do it?

To those who came out to see Tabletop Takedown -- thank you. To those who participated -- thank you. To those who filled put their opinions -- thank you.

A really fun way to finish my @pixelexpoperth weekend!

Such a fun time running Pixel Plays this morning with @stormieplaysyt -- and well done to all the Players for putting on a show!

Finished Pixel Quest -- had to take mini-me (c/o @illustrismodels) for a Big Walk around the con!

The panel hasn't even started yet, and illness has taken down one of our Tabletop Takedown panellists. But never fear - @lnlcovers is here!

Sadly @waywardsinny has been taken down by a plague and doesn't want to infect the whole of @pixelexpoperth (✨gold stars and big ups for caring about the community ✨) - so he's stepping off the stage and LNL is jumping in to fill his very-tall shoes.

Catch us all on Sunday afternoon for Tabletop Takedown -- and now the competition is really on!

With @pixelexpoperth on the horizon, it's time to start plugging all the fun things.

She's running her first panel (at this con), but it wouldn't be a Kate panel without some audience/community interaction. We've got a cheeky survey you can fill out (link where you find all links on this platform) so that your opinions on TTRPGs can confuse and astound the panellists.

I'll also be hosting a Q&A with some excellent content creators from the East Coast, as well as participating in some other fun bits and pieces (schedule coming soon).
