Just coming up for air a week post @wip.mag launch. Sorry to overshare friends. But this project was probably the most challenging and exhausting thing I’ve ever worked on and I’m so proud of the result which was we got interview some seriously incredible people and bring 350 people including our closest family, friends and strangers into a room to celebrate it with @performanyc. Thanks to @pierce_jackson_ for inspiring me to reinvent even when it seemed to make zero sense. I get it now. And @da__bulldog we are the luckiest people to get to create this with you.

Tonight was the kind of night that makes you remember why New York is the only city worth emotionally destroying yourself for.
Performa 2025 Art Biennial opened: pinstripes everywhere, like the art world had suddenly discovered its inner investment banker.
Ella Emhoff was there. I must publicly honor her because during a past fashion week, she literally saved my life by pointing me toward the backstage bathrooms right when I was about to collapse. Saturn Risin9 gave a performance that shook the room. I chatted politely with a cute, mustached real estate agent named Dylan. I had no idea how he got there. Him too. Then there was Paul. Blond, slightly curly hair, lips balmed like he has a lifelong Rhode supply contract. I guess my aura overwhelmed him, or he was already three wines past motor skills, or destiny simply said “not tonight”. We respect the mystery.
Meanwhile, several people explicitly requested I do not mention them in this post, which of course only makes them more interesting. *Someone* confessed they hooked up with their Uber driver in LA. Had the ride twice and only got charged once. Economy with benefits.
The good chaos, meaningful glances, conceptual tears and lightly perfumed delusions are giving.
