✨ The more AI evolves, the more valuable human connection becomes. I recently attended Women Leading AI, Scaling Community, hosted by @wisdmofficial at @expedia Sydney. The evening explored two things that can sometimes feel like opposites: the rapidly changing world of AI and the very human need for community, trust and belonging. A few takeaways: 💡 Togetherness creates shared experiences and memories. People might forget exactly what was said, but they remember how an experience made them feel and the people they met. 💡 People will pay for human connection. This really resonated with me because so much of my work is about creating experiences and bringing people together. 💡 AI is changing how we discover information. As we move beyond traditional search towards AI-driven discovery, businesses need to rethink how and where they show up. 💡 Human connection can be a competitive advantage. Technology can scale information but trust, relationships and genuine connection are much harder to replicate. 💡 Know who you are and what you stand for. Your values and identity help attract the right people around your brand, business or community. I use AI every day and continue exploring how it can support my business and creative work. But technology doesn't replace the need for us to meet, talk, exchange ideas, collaborate and build genuine relationships. It’s also one of the reasons I recently started @creativecommunity.au Catch-Up through @WaiYinDesigns. ✨ Our next catch-up is this Friday, 28 August! If you're a creative or simply love being around creative people, come join us. Link in bio. Thank you to Georgia Tan, the WiSDM team, speakers and partners for bringing everyone together. Angela Shi, Despina Gavoyannis, @jenmkillian, @yana_key, Nina Juhl, Delia Deng and @georgiaeloise__ , @mirelaxhota , @ new_thinkk, @mollymccloy, Lara Weiland, Jessica Azuma, Christine Yen, @stevesolanki, Bob Singleton. As AI becomes more embedded in how we work, do you think genuine human connection will become even more valuable? 👇 #ArtificialIntelligence #HumanConnection #CommunityBuilding #CreativeCommunity #WaiYinDesigns

#TBT to an Absolutely fascinating and exciting evening filled with unforgettable discussions. This event was held last year with WiSDM at the Adobe HQ with the topic on Women Shaping the AI-Driven Future in Digital Marketing! I’ve been in this business for almost 15 years from my internship year as website content manager to corporate to helping start ups grow their business online. AI has always been around and it’s been a fascinating journey to be at the start of working with SEO and seeing search engines grow to what it is today! It’s all about availability at the end of the day. I cannot tell you about the power of exciting networking events and making the effort to put yourself in the spaces you want to be in. I’m loving these opportunities and networking events in Sydney. They don’t hold back! #sydney #marketingevents #businesswomen #womeninmarketing

What can we learn about the future of SEO and digital marketing by looking East? 🌏 Last week, Switch Key Digital teamed up with Women in SEO and Digital Marketing (WiSDM) and UNSW Founders to host "6 Lessons from 6 Months in China" with Natalia Witczyk. It was a great opportunity to step outside the usual Google-centric bubble and look at how digital marketing operates in a completely different regulatory and technological landscape. At Switch Key Digital, we’re always looking at global trends to see what’s coming next for our clients. Natalia’s session highlighted several shifts in China that offer a glimpse into the future of "hyper-digital" marketing: 🚀 The "Leapfrog" Effect: How emerging markets skip legacy desktop habits to go straight to mobile-only innovation. It’s a reminder to question which "standard" practices we might be holding onto for too long. ⚖️ The Role of Law: In China, the digital landscape is shaped primarily by legislation. With AI regulation and anti-monopoly trials heating up globally, understanding the legal context of tech is becoming a core part of SEO strategy. Super Apps & Mini-programs: The collapse of the marketing funnel. On platforms like WeChat, the journey from discovery to payment happens in one place, removing the friction we often see in Western funnels. 🤝 From KOLs to KOCs: The rise of Key Opinion Consumers. In a culture of social commerce, peer-to-peer trust is often more influential than traditional celebrity/influencer endorsements. It was a fantastic afternoon of technical deep-dives and community catching up. Big thanks to Natalia for sharing her experiences, the UNSW Founders team for the space, Women in SEO and Digital Marketing for the fantastic evening and last but not least our co-founder Georgia Tan for hosting! Whether it’s Baidu or Google, the fundamentals of "where and how to find you" remain the same - but the platforms and strategies required to win are changing faster than ever. #SwitchKeyDigital #WiSDM #UNSWFounders #InternationalSEO #TechTrends #ChinaMarket #AI #DigitalMarketing

Sometimes the best thing happen last minute-ish! On Tuesday evening I attended @wisdmofficial very first pop-up event at the @unsw at the Michael Crouch Innovation Centre. We met international SEO expert Natalia Witczyk who shared her top 6 lessons in SEO in China. We all know China is a fascinating, large and ever evolving market that few get to experience unless you have the privelege of actually working there. I work with a Chinese colleague who manages the market for our organisation and the difference in brand and purchase culture always surprises me. While Natalia focuses on B2B looking to expand abroad, I’d say my key takeaways was: 🛜learning how politically Integrated everything is from the internet and economy, 🛜the structure of the search funnel and… 🛜what it’s information sources are to develop its AI within the country! This was a treat. #marketingprofessionals #businesswomen #sydney🇦🇺 #sydneybusiness
