Mini life update. We moved 🥹🫶🏾✨ Closing this chapter has definitely been bittersweet. These past couple of years have been some of my best ones yet. I’m forever grateful for Cleveland for bringing me some of my favorite people & my best memories. I’ve cried enough so I won’t get sappy here 🤣💕 Here’s a wholesome dump from my last weekend in this little city with my favs 🤗Next stop: ATL 📍

My life experiences and the sermons at @connected.tv (Mt. Sinai Friendship United) and Bedside Baptist have taught me about the wisdom and power of a praying woman. Proverbs 1:23 reads “Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise.” My mother, grandmother and so many other women close to me have led me on the path of wisdom. My wife took the baton from them and shared her wise words with me and them Griffin boys everyday. And now I get to see it with a new generation with my future daughter-in-love doting on my precious granddaughter. Happy #MothersDay to these amazing women, and all the mothers out there. You make our world special and you make us better people. Thank you for your counsel. Thank you for your love!

Here are a few reasons to follow and support our Tastemakers! 1. @malcolmdakar is a Cleveland designer who learned to sew from his grandmother. He has incredible taste in what we feel is more than clothing but is wearable art! The whimsy and color palettes associated with his designs always tells a story and sets his designs apart from other menswear designers. There is a heavy 70s aesthetic felt through his pieces and reminds us all that men can wear color and look cool while doing it! 2. @j.leshelle Introduced herself to Cleveland as a R&B singer/songwriter. Alongside her passion for music she finds deep healing and impact in helping women entrepreneurs and creatives. Her brand, @itslovesis has hosted multiple pop up events in the city including brunches, photoshoots, and women empowerment networkers. Follow her and stay tune as she is working on creating physical community for women in Cleveland. 3. @conormichaelsmith has gone viral several times over for his violin accompaniment and freestyles in collaboration with beat-boxer Bzak and singer Malcupnext. His creativity proceeds him as he also is an up and coming rapper. In between local and national shows and guest appearances he speaks passionately on his platform about having Autism and the courage he has found to continue his journey as an artist in-spite of his disability which he views as more of a superpower! 4. @wisdom_admirer_ Is a social researcher and educator with a masters degree in the social sciences. She has published a women’s self-help book titled Herself Content: A Guide to Women Owning Their Authenticity and Truth available on Amazon and recently published her 2023 Planner. Her words help to inspire women as she sees the world through the lens of deying social constructs and believing in your authentic self. 5. @khymikhayil is a content creator and story teller with a focus in fashion, clean skin care, clean hair care and everything self care! He shares, with an authentic voice, his view on things he loves and experiences. His ability to capture a photo paying attention to composition and color story makes his Instagram page somewhere to get lost.

We introduce to you Soul Food’s TASTEMAKERS!! On July 30th we brought together a group of entrepreneurs, creatives, and influencers to ‘Put Their Taste On It’ and help us curate our first event. During our private focus group we sampled soul music, soul food, curated cocktails, and soulful fragrances. We have watched these innovators create and trail blaze within their respective industries and as a result, they have inspired us in making our brand something Cleveland can champion and call it’s own! Catch these game changers on March 18th at The Kick It! They will be featured at our event and celebrated for their impact and influence in the city! We thank you so much for your critical eye, and impeccable taste! Can’t wait to see you all there! #ItsNecessary #Tastemakers #SoulFood #TheKickIt #clevelandnetworking 🎟️ Available Now, Link in the bio 🙏🏽
