Sage turned 1 and this animal obsessed girl is completely loved and maybe a little spoiled by us all! She was not super excited for her cupcake, she did not like the frosting on her hands. She took care of that by immediately wiping her hands in her hair. She has the cutest parents who adore her, and so do the rest of us. The picture of Tami and I is quite accurate.. if Sage wants something she knows her grandmas will do it. Happy birthday Sage, we love you so so much!

Last night we had Baylee’s golf banquet and it was so much fun! Bays is loved by not only her teammates- but her coaches and many of the parents! Her team captains gave her the Most Optimistic Award, she is so encouraging to everyone around her in all the positive ways. Her coaches always say- you’d never know how Baylee’s game is going because she’s always positive. Watching her Regional Tournament was a lot of fun in way too hot weather! We watched an old man accidentally drive his cart straight in a pond🤣The girls were troopers as the course sprinklers came on with 3 holes to go, they were putting while getting pelted in the face from the sprinklers. I can not believe we are at the end of her Junior year!

Ok, ok- just a few more from Hawaii! There were some crazy storms and flooding out last few days. The beach we sat on was washed away by Friday. Trying to get home was kind of funny. I was thankful our delays and cancelations were only a day- many were on day 2 or 3. Sage was so happy the entire time! In the airport we held up so many toys to her and she pushed them away except this Octopus (that we thought was a squid). She cuddled it the whole time and sadly it was dropped in the airport. Lucky for us we had to go back 3 hours later and the security officers at first kind of brushed us off looking for a lost and found. But Sage kept smiling and waving at them and after a few minutes they asked for descriptions and put out a call to southwest. While waiting one of them went back to our previous gate to see if it was trapped in the ramp and he saw someone had tucked it under the counter. His smile was as big as Sage’s smile when he brought it to her. It was such a tiny thing but so incredibly kind of him!

More Hawaii pictures, we had so much fun at the Polynesian Cultural Center, the Temple was closed but we were able to walk around and watch someone open the Book of Mormon for the first time and eagerly read (it was so sweet!). We went to a different Temple that was also beautiful and so reverent. We all got to ring the gong as well for long lives and good health. Pictures are all out of order so there’s some airport ones while we killed time trying to come home.

In December Darrell received an incredible award at @crumbl called the Impact award. His reward for receiving this was a bucket list trip, they had asked him a few weeks previously to give 3 options and the one they chose was a week with our family in Hawaii! I’m so thankful for what a hard worker Darrell is! Here’s a few pictures from our first few days there- I’ll add more because it was a beautiful week!
