i made this in the air (!) travelling back from the US. can’t actually believe technology allows that it’s blowing my mind. i’ve had a much needed weekend off in the middle of my busiest month and i’m back at my laptop, editing away after a huge analogue delivery this evening. i deliver all galleries within 6 weeks, which takes a lot of graft + motivation in extra busy months 〰️ but honestly i’m so happy. the editing is brutal but sacred, long but so rewarding 〰️ it’s where the days come back to life and i get to impact how couples re live their day each time they dip into it. a privilege i don’t take for granted. it’s my firm belief that curation is essential, that a lack of it means work and effort for our clients. i’ll always ensure range without over delivering similar images - the key is to keep moving, keep switching it up while shooting, and trying new things ✨ when i come to edit a gallery - i might have 10 shots of the shoes in different locations, different angles of food, key guests + more. the biggest part of the edit is actually the finesse - the culling, the finer details, deciding which images serve the gallery and add to the vibe positively. by curating, we give the individual hero shots room to breathe, and we don’t dilute our best work. it’s by curating i feel like i’m able to help my galleries feel more alive. it doesn’t feel like work, comparing 5 similar images, instead couples get an immersive experience and feel like you’re back there on the day. at least that’s the feeling i strive for every single time 🙏🏼

i’m doing a lot of driving this week so thank god for @gigiandolive_ ‘s new wedding podcast (highly recommend). loved @bychenai’s talk after seeing her at @elevateconference.uk in march, and this morning i listened to @benjaminwheeler ‘s 〰️ ben was one of my first big inspirations in the industry, i love how he documents fashion and he gets to shoot some of the most incredible dresses in existence - so i knew his workshop in 2023 would be incredible. and it did not disappoint !! the dresses were uuuunreal. here are 20 frames from this workshop 〰️ a mix of the fashion and finer details by some of my industry faves. it was this shoot that made me realise how much i love bridal fashion, and it gave me the confidence to start being more curated with the bridal fashion i share and talk about how much i love it, loudly 〰️ despite coming from a working class background/ not really seeing myself in the art world. art is for everyone, fashion is for everyone. this workshop was such a game changer for me (!) and a testament to invest in working with suppliers who inspire you. there really isn’t anything like getting to work alongside someone whose work you love 🤌🏼
