The key is to be you. Unapologetically. That way you can fulfill your own purpose, and gift the world the blessing that is YOU. Set CRAZY goals, do hard things, be consistent and the milestones and richness of life will be yours. If you want guaranteed success, you’ll surround yourself with people that are on the same path. @team.ultrablack gave me an amazing community to show up for. Couldn’t be more proud and fulfilled. We set an incredible goal and smashed 650km of ultra marathon running @runtomtl. Hats off to each of you. More to come!🤞🏾🔥

This wasn’t just a run.
This was a test of spirit.
There were storms.
Rain so heavy we couldn’t see more than a few feet in front of us.
The organizers advised teams to pause…
But we looked at each other, and we made a choice.
We were one of only six teams who kept going.
Not because it was easy, but because the fire in us was louder than the storm around us.
We ran through fear.
Through exhaustion.
Through darkness and silence and doubt.
But we never ran alone.
We moved as one voice.
One heartbeat.
One family on the road from Toronto to Montreal.
And we finished strong.
Third place.
But more importantly, we finished together.
This journey didn’t just build my strength.
It revealed it.
I’ll remember this forever.

Team Rod 👑
A true representation of resilience, perseverance, and teamwork.

When severe weather forced the race to pause, with an option to cut over 150km from the projected 650km course, this team made a unanimous decision - to finish what they started.
Was it easy? No. Was it worth it? Absolutely.

Congratulations to this incredible team of warriors for finishing Top 3 in the toughest Run2Montreal race to date. Marking the first time an Ultra Black team has ever placed in the Top 3!

Their courage reminds us that the journey is never just about the distance- it’s about the power of choosing to keep going.

We are incredibly proud!🖤

AS WE RUN WE BECOME‼️🏃🏿✨

This phrase was the literal embodiment of the journey we embarked on the last couple of days. 15 like minded individuals came together to accomplish 1️⃣ Goal - run 650km from toronto to montreal to raise funds to empower the next generation of black scholars.

Our mission was clear and our actions were aligned. After months of training, we came together to take on this journey with love and support for one another, and no intention of EVER quitting. Through treacherous weather conditions (which put a 7+hour hault to the official race), sleepless nights, lingering injuries, 55 hours of running, and exhausted bodies, MY TEAM continued to persevere and KEPT GOING. The result?
✅3rd place out of 19
✅ $$ raised for a great cause
✅Unbreakable bonds formed
✅Resilient minds built
✅Community connections strenghtened

The biggest takeaway for me? ➡️when your mission is clear, your efforts are consistent and others around you are aligned, theres absolutely nothing you cant accomplish.

Thank you to everyone who donated and CONTINUES to donate. Thank you for the overwhelming support from my community @team.ultrablack and friends. Thank you to our amazing captain @mr_opulent1 for bringing us together and setting a standard of EXCELLENCE. Thank you to my team for this unforgettable journey🖤🖤

Team Rod - WE DID THAT‼️‼️! P.s. you can still donate using the link in my bio and attached here —> https://www.teamultrablack.com/ultra-black-scholarship
