POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Networking is about who you’re genuinely curious about. It took me a while to learn that.

I used to get anxious before events like this. Networking felt like a performance, and I’d walk into rooms already rehearsing what to say, how to come across, who I needed to meet. By the end of the night I’d feel more drained than connected.

These days I try to show up as myself and notice who stays in the conversation.

The other night was full of those people. Old friends who’ve watched me grow, new connections who felt familiar almost straight away, and a few conversations I’ll be thinking about for a while.

I’m excited to be featured on the @behindtheerg podcast, coming out tomorrow! 🎙️🎤

As someone who is used to interviewing others, it always amazes me being on the other side… having to talk about my life 🙈

The ups, the downs, the lessons learned along the way, and the fire beneath my feet that continues to spur me on to pursue my passions and be a changemaker in my own lane.

Using my love for Journalism & Media to tell OUR stories, our way, through my platform @withnyashamichelle

Educational. Inspirational. Informative. And hopefully, somewhat entertaining. :)

And most importantly, being a face that little me never saw represented in mainstream global media whilst growing up.

Thank you for having me. I hope this conversation leaves someone inspired. ❤️

After wrapping Season 4: It’s Giving Zimbabwe Edition, Nyasha Michelle is revisiting one of her standout Season 1 conversations with award winning investigative journalist Hopewell Chin’ono.

Hopewell has become one of Zimbabwe’s prominent investigative voices, known for reporting on corruption and government accountability. His journalism and activism have also come at a personal cost, including multiple arrests and periods in detention.

The conversation explores politics, corruption, reggae and what speaking truth to power can cost.

Two powerful Zimbabwean journalists worth following for conversations and perspectives that go beyond the headlines: @nyashamichelle_ and @daddyhope2 🇿🇼

As Nyasha says, “this conversation is worth revisiting.” The full interview has now been reloaded on the With Nyasha Michelle YouTube channel.
