a pretty and pink 27th birthday💕✨ I had such a wonderful birthday this year! I had an incredible day with my family on my actual birthday, a fun filled day of treats and ice skating with my love the following day, a perfectly pink birthday party with my dearest friends @nightingalebarnyc a week later, and then a surprise birthday cake celebration with my best friends after that. Truly, I cannot thank everyone enough for the beautiful wishes and the most delightful time. I love you all and I truly couldn’t be happier 💖💖💖💖☺️

January 1st will mark 5 years of meditating every single day and 4.5 years of guiding meditations 4x a week.
As I always say in these posts, because of my meditation practices, I’m a different person than I was a year ago. Developing an inner garden that I can return to again and again; my self love, mindfulness, and boundaries are all stronger.
This is also the 1st year I released folk songs to streaming; thank you to everyone who gave it a listen and sent donations. I’m excited to share I’ve finished recording Contemplations Vol 3, now it’s just mixing and mastering.
I also made some exciting steps within the acting industry; announcement coming soon!
I took Level 1 improv with improvolution and woke up that skill set (and lots of joy).
Plus, I began training to become an audiobook narrator; a long-form acting gig I’m hype about.
I know this year was close to or truly within hell for many of us. If we kept our hearts open and witnessed all that’s going on, then we can’t be truly okay. Thank you to all my friends who helped me find balance, peace, and support through it all. Making me feel a little less worn down, with more energy to give back.
And as always : Free Palestine, Free Sudan, Free the Congo. And as we speak up about other places, let us turn inwards at ourselves and our country. Free America from this administration and their atrocities, Free America from the founding principles causing and resulting from genocide of indigenous peoples (who are still caring for the earth and living here), Free America from legalized slavery in our prison system, Free America from its concentrations camps & human trafficking of thousands of people this year, Free America from those with platforms who are silent about and/or vote to fund genocide in Palestine, Sudan, and elsewhere. Free America from the lies it was built from and sustained by, birthed from colonization and eugenics. Let us return to indigenous wisdom and leadership. Let us Free Turtle Island. Let us come home to listening, compassion, community action, and recognizing we are not separate from the Earth.
Love y’all.
We’ll take it step by step, bean by bean. We got this.

1 Corinthians 13:13, says “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love.” These are the three virtues I pray can root itself at the core of the future of the entertainment industry.

Last month, we had the blessing and privilege of partnering with @levelforward to celebrate some of the incredible filmmakers featured in the Future of Film collection, which is a curation of short films streamed on @amcplus amplifying creatives from film festivals across the country. It was a night dedicated to community, culture, and recognizing the integral and diverse voices shaping the future of the film industry.

A huge thank you to Level Forward and their incredible More to Talk About team for being such an amazing partner, champion and for orchestrating an unforgettable program. And to @andreaambam thank you for your light, creativity and exceptional moderating. You led a conversation that has made such a lasting impression.

To all the extraordinary filmmakers: thank you for your courage and for raising your voices to champion representation in storytelling. You are the heart of film, and are the reason we were even able to gather and celebrate.

I am also extremely grateful for the Future of Film Taskforce at AMC+. Your countless hours of screening and selecting films make this initiative possible. Thank you for your dedication to bringing these stories to our platform.

Finally, a special thank you to the incomparable Nikki Love and @nailamckenzie , who built the Future of Film initiative from the ground up and continue to lead this charge with vision and courage.

Please check out these incredibly talented filmmakers
