Last week marked Trans Awareness Week. To celebrate, @wk_ldn’s LGBTQIA+ affinity group Ginger Beers hosted a lunch and learn with Casey from @playskateboards and @transkaters , to chat about how she’s been carving space for a rising generation of queer and trans skaters — all while giving back to the community. At W+K London, we believe every employee should feel supported to do their best work. We’ve been working closely with @genderedintelligence and are proud to unveil our new Trans & Non-Binary Inclusion Policy – formalising our commitment to respecting names and pronouns, prioritising confidentiality and safety, offering holistic support, and maintaining non-gendered facilities and dress codes - to ensure everyone at W+K feels seen and supported. 🏳️‍⚧️ 💕#lgbtqia #transisbeautiful

💃🏻 We danced first. Sometimes you have to shake it off before you show up. ✨ Then we got to work. A packed allyship and action workshop with @wk_ldn exploring how to turn good intentions into real impact through the five Ds of #allyship. 💛 Afterwards, our London #community came alive. Stories shared. Laughter echoing. Vulnerability. Generosity. That quiet magic that happens when people stop performing and just connect. Tired? Yes. Inspired? Absolutely. This is what community in action looks like. From London, with love. ❤️ Huge thanks to everyone who showed up, spoke up, and held the space. We’ll be back soon. #Allyship #Community #Inclusion #Action #TogetherWeRise

Wieden+Kennedy London's design process for the Formula 1 logo, unveiled in November 2017, was a meticulous, fan-informed endeavor led by Executive Creative Director Richard Turley. Tasked with rebranding the sport for the first time in 23 years, the agency began with a six-month global research study engaging Formula 1 fans to understand their emotional connection to the sport. This revealed a desire for a modern yet authentic identity that honored F1’s heritage while embracing its future as a dynamic entertainment brand. The design team explored numerous concepts, ultimately drawing inspiration from the sleek, low-profile silhouette of a Formula 1 car and the moment two cars cross the finish line. This led to a minimalist logo embodying speed, precision, and competition. Sketches evolved through iterative refinements, balancing a modern-retro aesthetic with functional versatility across digital, broadcast, and physical applications like merchandise and track signage. Wieden+Kennedy collaborated with type designers at Monotype to create three bespoke typefaces, F1 Regular, F1 Turbo, and F1 Torque, tailored for varied branding needs, from sleek digital interfaces to bold promotional materials. The process also involved close coordination with Formula 1’s commercial team to ensure the logo reflected the sport’s technical excellence and global appeal. Despite initial fan resistance to replacing the iconic “flying one” logo, the design’s strategic grounding in fan insights and its bold simplicity earned widespread media praise, generating over 35,000 tweets and coverage in outlets like BBC and Creative Review. #anatomyoflogos
