“I enjoy connecting with students and helping them see themselves here,” Diamond Nunez-Garcia said.

From finding her place on the Hill to helping others do the same, sophomore Diamond Nunez-Garcia is turning connections into impact at WKU.

A first-generation college student and accounting major in the Gordon Ford College of Business, she built her foundation through the Business Living Learning Community and campus involvement.

Now, she’s giving back by leading tours, mentoring future Hilltoppers and making a lasting impression on everyone she meets.

Hello Hilltoppers!!
I am deeply honored to represent @wkuholas as Western Kentucky University’s 2025 Homecoming Queen candidate.

Starting my journey at WKU, I couldn’t be more grateful to have found HOLAS. This organization has taught me what it truly means to be a leader and the importance of showing up for those who cannot. As a first-generation student, I often faced uncertainty and fear when stepping into new experiences. However, at WKU, through HOLAS, I discovered a familia that helped me gain confidence, find my voice, and step out of my comfort zone.

Western has given me the opportunity to build community, lead with purpose, advocate for others, and give back in the same way so many before me have done. I will forever be proud of my roots and will always hold Western and HOLAS close to my heart for allowing me to grow into the person I am today.

I am beyond excited to share this incredible experience alongside the remarkable women who represent the very heart of WKU.
Voting begins Monday, October 27th, on TopNet!
Thank you so much, @wku, for these amazing experiences I would have never thought I would be able to do. As always—GO TOPS!❤️🤍
