IMAGO x @ata_football
A suspenseful cup weekend in England and Germany's women football brought more drama and excitement.
In the semi-final of the prestigious FA Cup, Aston Villa's women lost narrowly to Chelsea's women, after a tough battle, with 1-0.
Manchester United's women managed to beat Brighton and qualify for the final in Wembley. Rachel Williams scored the late winner in the 3-2 victory at Leigh Sports Village.
In Germany, it came to the clash between the two titans of German women football, as Wolfsburg faced Bayern in the semi-final of the DFB-Cup. The league leaders from Bavaria were demolished by the women in green, as Wolfsburg won 5-0 and ended Bayern's dream of the double.
They will face the women of SC Freiburg, who qualified in the other semi-final against RB Leipzig, with a last second goal of Hasret Kayikçi in the 96th minute.
