Tonight! Still Life Aperitivo from 7-9 PM @worldsfairgallery

So here’s the vision:
First, we draw or paint the still life.
Then, we eat it.
Prefer figurative drawing?
Draw us eating the installation!

We’re setting a candlelit table with a giant wedge of French country bread, triple-crème brie, honey-pearl champagne grapes, a mountain of alliums, and a bouquet of spring blossoms. There will be hot cider from the bar and I’m thinking we’ll pop a bottle of ‘Chaos’ from @oysterriverwinegrowers... Feels apt, right?

No experience necessary; this will be a casual and fun activity. Supplies and paper are included, or bring your sketchbook and favorite pen.

I’ve wanted to host this for years. I picked up this tradition in my studio in Sicily back in 2022 and have done it ever since. It’s a simple and kind of magical way to experience food and friends. We need more of this kind of fun experimentation…

Come hang at the table!

LAST CALL: This is the final week to view Paolo Porelli’s show, Humanphoria. Come see his beautiful works before they head back to Rome!
Additional gallery hours: Saturday, 11– 2 PM.
