Aging slowly, Rising slowly.

Thank you to everyone who has been on this Journey with me. It’s only the beginning. I’m learning more everyday about myself and that comes with learning who I am as an artist. I’m so blessed and excited to continue expressing my art through music, acting, dance, etc. This song is very special to me. I think we as artists get trapped in the mentality of being picked. You do not need to be picked. You are a burning star, express it.

I remember about a year ago I told this guy I was seeing that I was gonna try and make my own band, he laughed in my face. I always performed by myself or with another guitarist. People told me to go to open mics more and branch out. But no one I met ever really stuck with me and there was no musical chemistry. One by one I met passionate and talented musicians/producers throughout the year. I met @chris_escu through a band I got matched up with with someone I met at a jazz bar. I met @brunomfredes on set we were both extras for. I met @wohcano at @thedinerstudios when rehearsing w Bruno. And @j_cp236 at Brunos bands show at sugar mouse!!

New York will bring the right people your way when you are ready. I’m so excited for this journey. I came out here by myself at eighteen and I feel like I’ve lived 7 lives. I’ve changed so much and accomplished so many things I always said I would do. Looking back on it I’m so proud of myself.
