Golfers raise funds for charity

Cloudy skies and a damp fairway didn’t stop roughly 80 golfers from teeing off at Las Colinas Country Club on Saturday, Oct. 3 to help raise money for a nonprofit supporting families affected by childhood cancer and the Invited Foundation.

Today we are highlighting organizations who have helped Grace in our family during her treatment so far. I love sharing these organizations with you. We’re so thankful for the people who run them, volunteer, donate and take the time to show up for families like ours. There are so many wonderful organizations out there but these are the ones that have personally blessed our family through Grace’s treatment. 💛🎗️

Really proud with every aspect of this project. From preproduction, to execution, to everything in post, it was an incredible process of growth and a challenge to my overall creativity. The story of one of the biggest high school games in the country did not disappoint.

💛 DYC GOES GOLD 💛

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and this year this cause hits especially close to home for our DYC family.

Two of our own cheerleaders, Rylie and Leighton, have been personally touched by childhood cancer. Rylie is currently undergoing treatment for B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), and Leighton, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in 2021, is now in remission. 💛

Throughout September, you’ll see all of our DYC cheerleaders wearing yellow ribbons on their bows to honor Rylie and Leighton and show support for all of the children and families fighting childhood cancer.

We’re also so excited to partner with the Dragon Cheer Boosters @dragoncheerboosterclub to honor both of these sweet girls during a DYF home game this month with our Middle and High School Cheerleaders—plus a little pre-game pampering! Thank you @sweetandsassysouthlake

We are so proud to stand behind Rylie and Leighton, celebrate how far they’ve come, and GO GOLD for every child and family impacted by childhood cancer. 💛
