This weekend's #panpacs2023 tournament marked a significant milestone for me as a black belt. It has opened a new chapter in my journey on the battlefield, with so many lessons learned.
Coaching for the first time, I'm so proud of our little warriors' bravery!
A special moment was shared with a fellow female black belt @lanbjjnorthmelbourne as we presented a purple belt to @e.tamurapaki on the podium, representing our Senseis who couldn’t be there.

Big thanks to my training partners for their support, the DS community for the love, and my Sensei for his unwavering energy from afar. Also, to my opponents for showing up and their sportsmanship.

Now, it's time to rest, recharge, and level up. Because good is not good enough, we can always be better. Till the next adventure! #JiuJitsuLife #BlackBeltJourney #OSS #wearedsteam

What a great weekend for the Team at the @ibjjf Pan Pacific. Congratulations to all the competitors who battled and did their best to win, even tho the victory didn’t happen to some of you who fought bravely, congratulations to the opponents who brought a tough fight.
So many learned lessons, now back to the drawing board next week because that’s how we get better 🙏🏼.

Two of my great friends and international NZ Athletes I hugely respect in the game 🖤

@douglasnz & @paty_gelu are the owners of @dsteamjiujitsunz and are world renowned in their respective careers in BJJ!

Douglas being a 5th Degree BJJ Black Belt, and Paty ranking a impressive collection of 🥇 throughout her time competing internationally in IBJJF

To this day, I have never experienced a couple I admire more. Their determination, respect and love they put out into the world, along with how inclusive they make every student feel that learns under their roof is second to none!

To see close friends strive to improve their lives, simply from the light you bring means everything 👏🏼

Grateful for James to have put you guys my way; and to have the honour of looking after you both 🖤
