at 10 years old i had a major injury that changed my life. i was told that my knee would never feel normal again and i would always be in pain. my injury held me back from a lot of things, but i persevered through four surgeries to be where i am at today. the journey was hard but rewarding. as a softball girl who learned to tumble in her backyard i never knew that i’d be cheering, let alone in college. i never saw myself as a cheerleader and i definitely was not interested in it until my auntie convinced me to try out in middle school (thanks auntie😜). i found out cheerleaders weren’t so bad! since then, i have loved it.

to molly, you have shown me what a true friendship is. i love growing, living and cheering with you. you are truly a light in this world my angel molly, you have the sweetest soul and have taught me so much and made me a better person. you are truly my best friend and my family 🫶🏼

i didn’t think i was good enough to go past high school for sports, but when i visited concordia i felt at home. my coaches and teammates have made me, me. they have made me a better person, athlete, and taught me so many lessons. coming here and gaining a family and so many friends has been such a blessing for me. thank you to my wonderful mother who pushed me to be the best, supported me throughout my dreams and making them happen. thank you shawnie for being one of my biggest supporters and sacrificing so much for me. shawn was truly the greatest human being and everyone should have a shawn in their life. 🪽i am thankful for every practice, competition, and fullout. thank you for the opportunity to be on both teams. I am thankful for concordia bringing me closer to God. i will cherish every moment. #FCG #LFG #WAGTFT$
