Don’t forget to come early to our author event on November 8th, so you can enter to win one of our baskets! These baskets include items donated by local businesses all throughout Fort Collins. We’re also excited to announce that 50% of all basket earnings will be given to two local non-profits! The remaining 50% will go to Fort Collins Reads, which helps us cover the costs of the author’s visit, venue, and more! Swipe to learn more about the non-profits ➡️

25% of the basket earnings will be donated to @thefamilycenterlafamilia , which provides high-quality childcare and services to families in Fort Collins with a focus on the LatinX community. Their goal is to create a community where every family is safe, supported, and thriving!
The other 25% will go to a new non-profit created in partnership with Fort Collins Reads by our committee member, Revati! Sparking Reads works to bring authors to Title 1 schools in Fort Collins and provides each student who attends the author visit with a copy of their book! Sparking Reads’ first event is happening next week, so keep an eye out for photos and a recap of how it went.

Where You Stand: a group art exhibit inspired by literature of the earth presented by @wolverinefarm

"ON THE WAY" (pictured above) is a part of the exhibit.

Visit the farmhouse in old town Fort Collins to celebrate the wild talent of the community through multidisciplinary arts, using Place-Based Literature as the jumping off point. This art exhibit will include a handful of local artists’ works in a silent auction throughout the month of October to raise funds for literature in Northern Colorado. The fundraiser party is October 24th, from 6-9pm, and will include literary readings, live music, and more.

The silent auction link is below 👇🏼

I had a total blast at the Small Press Fest in FoCo today! 💛

There are few things more inspiring to me than creatives and makers coming together, building instant community, and supporting one another's unique expressions.

Being around books has always felt like an instant portal, bringing me closest to my inner child who always knew imagination was a powerful gateway to infinite realms.

We're all born creators. Whether through manifestation, music, writing, drawing, singing, movement, sport, or something unique to your "you-ness," I urge you: don't let life pass you by without exploring it.

The world is ready for you and your art. ❤️

There's so much joy here and much more in the queue, stay tuned for some big happenings 😉.

Yay for showing up, celebrating creation, and meeting digital friends in the wild! @kaitlinlavinderauthor @saltminebooks ✨
