Day 1 of making a coffee together outside

Brewing @theonewiththepigeon @argote2015 advanced natural Ombligon using @orea.uk Z1 brewer & travel set, & @sibaristcoffee filter paper

Dose 12.5g
Water in 200g
Brew time 2min 15

Because coffee shouldn’t be so complicated you’re stuck in your house needing all the gear. It’s time to get outside.

Big thanks too @oooodrip for bringing @theonewiththepigeon onto our radar & in to our lives & for all the advice & support ✨

& thanks Chris @pollenbakery for joining me for a chat, while I filmed this ☺️

Sunday sessions ….🪷🧘‍♀️🏡🔔 There no place like home ….. building up strength feels so good ! Regular yoga sessions with @leahdeyogi and the devil’s work with @restandreform Pilates have helped beyond measure with my flexibility and strength . Also seeing and feeling the results have spurred me on so much … still get wobbly and my pain is still excruciating - but Rome wasn’t built in a day and these kettle bells won’t lift themselves …. It’s good to feel that drive and passion again after being so ill … Fuck U Cirrhosis- Recovery IS possible - 275 days ….#kettlebellflow#cirrhosisawareness #yoga#yogisquatswillgetyoutheredoesmybelllookbiginthis

Wolfscote Dale Trails

A beautiful 15 mile loop from Hartington to Dovedale. Taking in Biggin Dale, Wolfscote Dale, Beresford Dale before reaching Dovedale along side the river Dove.

Brewing @swevencoffee @sergioarandagomez Colombian Advanced Natural Sidra using @orea.uk Z1. A lively sweet & juicy cup; mangosteen, peach rings & cotton candy.

We stopped for a picnic lunch & coffee in this stunning spot on the riverbank before carrying on for an ice cream in Milldale 🍦

Violet hues 💜

I couldn’t resist brewing up the last of this @taithcoffee Washed Sidra by Javier Castro, Ecuador.

With its tangerine, sparking apple & violet flavours I couldn’t resist brewing it among the Crocuses while walking the dogs. It was too beautiful not to slow down & savour it.

Brew recipe:
12.5g in, 210g out at <98C
Bloom 40g, the 2 equal pours of 85g poured before the coffee bed drains.

Using @orea.uk z1 brewer & travel cups @sibaristcoffee papers & @melodripco & @ankomn.official jars

Monday morning pour

Can’t believe we’ve had 2 days of morning sunshine in a row. Making the most of it today brewing up @taithcoffee Bekele Yutute, Ethiopia, Local Landraces Anaerobic Natural with @orea.uk V3.

Bright and juicy, full of blackcurrant, bilberry, almost ribena sweetness 🫐

#morningcoffee #filtercoffee #pourover #homecafe #morningsun Coffee being poured from carafe into cup after making a pour over. Steam is rising from the cup, catching the light. A vase of tulips sit on the mid century table in the background with a bike & mirror on the wall out of focus

Quick oatmilk tulip in the garden

@allcaps @argote2015 peach co ferment tastes like summer so it only seemed right to take it outside for a quick @oatly pour in the garden before we head out to make the most of sunshine 🍑🌷

This shot is super fast, full of bright fruity sweetness, perfect for a Sunday split. 12.5g in > 52g out in ~22 seconds, & it works just as well split or as a super juicy, punchy flat white 🍑🥭🍒

Thanks @oooodrip for introducing us to @allcaps_coffee experimental offerings they really surprised us in the best way!

Not the neatest, as I’m still getting used to our beautiful new cups from @frizbeeceramics that we picked up from @sunnys.lifestyle

Cosying up with Wintering by @katherinemay_

There’s something special about brewing up a bright cup on a rainy day. @module.roast @henrybonilla77 Columbian Flor de Jamaica Cultured Washed Pink Bourbon is the perfect vibrant juicy coffee for a gloomy February day.

Brewing 15g medium - course ground coffee with 250g at 96 degrees in ~2 mins 35 using @orea.uk 01 to bring out the natural sweetness & brightness.
