Earlier this year, I wanted to celebrate in a way that felt meaningful by bringing together the people I adore and creating a space to simply move. Some of us dance regularly, while others had never taken a dance class before or hadn’t danced in years. It was never about getting the steps right. It was about celebrating ourselves exactly where we were.

Growing up in purity culture, I spent a lot of years feeling disconnected from my body and believing that taking up space or expressing myself physically wasn’t always something to embrace. Coming back to dance after so many years has become one of the greatest gifts I’ve given myself. It’s teaching me how to reconnect with my body, celebrate all that it’s capable of, and appreciate every step of this journey.

A huge thank you to Brandi for creating such a safe and welcoming space for all of us to let loose, have fun, and just be ourselves. 👠✨

HOOP DREAMS II • The second installment of my Hoop Dreams series, where basketball and art collide.

This collection of custom-painted basketballs is inspired by the dreams we carried as children, the possibilities we imagined for ourselves, and the continued rise of professional women’s sports. Through soft feminine elements, vibrant colour palettes, and dreamlike imagery, Hoop Dreams II celebrates the women who are trailblazing new paths while embracing the power, beauty, and complexity of their feminine energy.

Each piece is intentionally created to reflect both aspiration and representation; honouring the athletes, leaders, and young girls who dare to dream bigger because they can now see themselves reflected in the game.

I’m excited to be exhibiting three basketballs from this series at “The Seen Show” on June 5 at VS Creative Lab.
