Another throwback. I made these designs a while back for a coffee add. It was originally for one of my classes; illustration for motion taught by the incredible @wonderfall at the @schoolofmotion ☕️🍩🔺

Can you tell I like drawing cars ? 🙈

It was so nice to chat with Sarah Beth Morgan @wonderfall about her experience as a creative mum and how she and her husband are juggling work and parenthood.
Sarah Beth is a freelance animation director and illustrator based in Cleveland, Ohio.

We touched on some really important topics like the pressure of having a second kid as soon as the first one arrives, how creativity can change after becoming a parent and Sarah Beth also opened up about her experience with postpartum depression and how she found her own way to navigate it, prioritising projects that bring her joy and choosing clients who respect her time as a new parent.

Available on Spotify, Apple podcasts and Amazon Music. Link in bio.

Why can’t we be friends? Right now in the world, kindness seems in short supply - so I thought I would shout out some creative people whose work I love and respect.

Give them a follow if you like!

I’m not expecting them to give me a shout out but it would be weird if they didn’t don’t you think?

Finally finished this project ✨️
After sharing a short WIP recently, here's the full set of styleframes plus final sketches and a small overview of the scenes and transitions. This project was created during the Illustration for Motion course by Sarah Beth Morgan ( @wonderfall ) at @schoolofmotion and it's based on a fictional ad for a movie snack delivery service. I used a few film references along the way to help guide the scenes and transitions.

Overall I'm really happy with how it turned out. Is Godzilla 100 percent on model in the scenes? Maybe not...😅 But for now, this is where the project lands and I'm proud of the result. 🍿🦖

I followed two classes by @wonderfall called Learn to Draw Shapes and another called Turn Your Anxiety into Art. This is what came out of it. I loved what Sarah Morgan taught.

It’s not clean or perfectly graphical. I took the ideas and let my hands decide the rest. I mixed both classes together and added my own truth to it.

Life is beautiful, but it’s also heavy. It’s rough, imperfect, and full of pressure. That pressure bends us, distorts us, and leaves marks — and this is what mine looks like.
