Meet Fifi Buchanan, our newest artist partner! A podcaster and storyteller, Fifi is the source of the words and wisdom that guide our new Threads of Affirmation embroidery kits. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We met at Alt Summit this March, and connected over a shared belief in the power of craft to restore and replenish. Over the past few months of quarantine, alongside embroidery artist Karen Barbé, we've collaborated on a new kind of Joone craft kit - one that brings the meditative aspects of embroidery to the forefront. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These kits pair Fifi's thoughtful written affirmations and audio meditation with Karen's beautiful embroidery patterns, creating an immersive and restorative creative experience. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For more of Fifi's wisdom and reflections, follow her at @divinehostess and listen to her affirming podcast @wonderfullymadepod. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Illustration by the wonderful Cathy Charles-Williams (@cathy.c.williams) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #threadsofaffirmation #FifiBuchananforJoone #fifibuchanan #embroidery #contemporaryembroidery #embroiderykit #paperembroidery #modernembroidery #handembroidery #activemeditation #affirmationcards #joonecreative #crafternoon ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @karenbarbe @divinehostess @wonderfullymadepod @altsummit

Raise your hand 🙋🏻‍♀️ if you love to stitch while listening to a podcast, audiobook or watching Netflix! - During these past months I missed so badly sitting down with an embroidery and listening to a podcast that now that I'm feeling physically better, I'm so eager to resume! - I'm always looking for new podcasts to add to my embroidery list. The interviews by @AbbyGlassenberg have been a staple for years. And now that I'm on a mission to take care of my body and soul, the @WonderfullyMadePod podcast with life stories narrated by Fifi Buchanan's incredibly soothing voice has made it to my top list. - 🎧 What about you? Do you have a favorite podcast or audiobook? I'd love to hear your recommendations - (On the embroidery side of things, I've been working on new patterns for a collab with @JooneCreative and Fifi herself @DivineHostess. These are the first prototypes, more updates coming soon!) - #KarenBarbe #KarenBarbeForJoone #JooneCreative #FifiBuchanan #ThreadsOfAffirmation #Embroidery #HandEmbroidery #PaperEmbroidery #ModernCraftKits #QuarantineCrafts #CraftingIsMyTherapy #Crafternoon #UnwindAfterWork
