Creating new plays that transform the past into a better future. Minnesota based.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Great afternoon of thought provoking theater! We all have different backgrounds and life experiences that mold our values and priorities. Sometimes we need to take a step back and have real conversations no matter how difficult.

It was wonderful to see my @wonderlustprod friends today! Thanks for joining me @mashawsp, @azurecomedy, & @lorigenia73 💞

Our theater institutions are at a precarious moment as funding is shrinking, press coverage is disappearing, venues are disappearing, and theaters are producing smaller and fewer works as they manage their budgets. We have learned what we're capable of when we care for the whole of our community. This is not a moment of despair, but of exploring ways of taking action to shore up our ecology.

In the spirit of @franktheatre's “Frankly Speaking” series, please join us for a lively discussion with local arts leaders on July 8, 6-8 pm, at @mixedbloodtheatre!

Join us on Saturday, May 16 from 6:30 – 9 PM for a A Community Reading of "The Values Play:" A Work-in-Progress Project by Wonderlust Productions of St. Paul!

Read aloud by actors from Granite Falls & surrounding communities, this play is about values and how we live together as a community when we disagree so deeply. It is based on true stories shared by members of various communities around Minnesota–conservatives and liberals, religious and non-religious, urban and rural–including Granite Falls. Following the play, Wonderlust Productions will facilitate an open community discussion about the topics and themes from the live reading.

This event is free & open to all members of the public! Snacks & refreshments will be available.

Volunteer actors are still needed! One rehearsal, no memorization required.
If interested, email Luwaina, The YES! House Program Director: luwaina@publictranformation.org

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant and a grant from Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

I spent time today in community with leaders Dreaming the Future of Democracy and St. Paul. This gathering was Co-hosted by @wonderlustprod and @mnhumanities Center. Attendees were invited to sit in circle and share stories, life experiences, and truths about our dream for our beloved city. This cricital and empowering conversation was not only informative but also heart healing. Thank you for letting me be a part of this important conversation.
