Horse appreciation post!

Beyond grateful for the incredible string of horses I had the privilege of playing in this year’s Women’s Arena Open.

Horsemanship is such a huge part of polo. Being able to get on unfamiliar horses, adapt to their individual styles, and bring out the best in each one is something I take a lot of pride in.

Without a doubt, the best collection of horses I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. Even more special to make my debut as a 10-goal arena player on such an exceptional string.

A huge thank you to @dillpolo @georgedillfarmsllc

Congratulations to G2, champions of the 2026 Shady Lady Invitational! 🏆

All four teams put on an impressive display of women’s polo at the Orange County Polo Club, but it was G2 that hoisted the trophy at the weekend’s end!

MVP honors went to Cory Williams, who led her team with 15 goals. Sportsmanship was awarded to Gracie Siemens of G2 Polo, and Best Playing Pony Honors went to Heather Perkin’s Tochi for team OC Polo.

In the consolation final, Healing Hoofbeats kept the crowd on their toes with a third chukkar comeback, but ultimately OC Interscholastic took the win 13-10. MVP honors went to OC’s Penny Steffens and BPP was awarded to Dill Polo’s Stinger, played by Zoey Tornillo for team Healing Hoofbeats. Sportsmanship went to Maria Dahlman of Healing Hoofbeats.

In addition to these honors, the USPA awarded two special awards. USPA Sportsmanship was awarded to Lisa Gonzalez of team G2 Polo, and the USPA Horsemanship award was earned by Zoey Tornillo.

The ladies of HYT Polo School took to the field at WRPC again this past weekend, and one look at the smiles on these faces tells you all you need to know! 💕🐴

After all three teams finished Saturday tied, it all came down to Sunday, with Team Pink narrowly coming out on top! 💗🏆

We still can’t believe these ladies only started their polo journey this past May. To see how far they’ve come in such a short time—and how much fun they’re having along the way—makes us incredibly proud.

We can’t wait to see what’s next for this group! 💕
