HELLO AUTUMN 🍂🍁🐿️ Well. Judging by our cold, crisp, colourful, leaf strewn walk yesterday morning, Autumn has officially arrived. The forecast was for rain, but we went anyway. The low sun dappling light through the trees was magical. Truly one of our favourite times of year to get out walking. WONKY WOOLIES We’ve been a fan of @wonkywoolies for a while now, having previously purchased a couple of their woolly hats, of which the most recent was the Border Terrier Pom Pom hat. So when we saw that #teamwonky had a new venture featuring these customisable embroidered t-shirts, we knew our Hoomum had to have one. This isn’t an ad, just an appreciation post for a small Scottish business doing something special. Alison was a pleasure to deal with, and it turns out asking questions really helps businesses like wonky Woolies understand and anticipate customer wants and needs. While the wool sheds are temporarily quieter, I've spent a fascinating day out of the office with @gordonnicolsonkiltmakers , huge thanks to @lochcarron_of_scotland and @britishwool for the invite to visit the Selkirk Wool Depot and discover the processes involved from fleece to yarn.... did you know, that all kilt-weight Strome tartan cloth woven by Lochcarron is now 100% Scottish Wool ? Supported by new labelling initiatives, you will begin to find it easier to identify authentic products made using traceable, British and Scottish wool...and what a versatile fibre wool truly is ! Day trip out to @britishwool Selkirk to celebrate a new 100% Scottish wool label 🐑🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Was great to see @burnfootwool with their woven by Drove Weavers blankets using traceable wool from their own sheep and farm 🐑 @junele.sandra produced the new logo out of waste wool yarn - it is stunning 😍 It was great to catch up with friends and make new connections within the industry 🏭 It's a small world in textiles 🧶🐑 #scottishwool #britishwool #selkirkwooldepot #woveninlangholm #wovenbydroveweavers

Remember walking to the stadium as a kid, hearing the call “Get your hat, scarf or a badge!” That feeling never leaves you. The scarf is only here as a sample, but, the hats and badges are here and will be on sale this week.
