An end of year mood board 🌅

The end of the year often surfaces different emotions. We may feel heartbroken for losses, grateful for beautiful moments, resentful for unmended dynamics, grief for unrealized dreams, fearful and hopeful for the future—wishing to freeze time and stand still or skip ahead. The passage of time can confront our relationship with aging and with mortality—with our self and with loved ones.

As we begin to say goodbye to 2025, it’s helpful to take a moment to thoughtfully reflect back on all that the year has brought us.

Lessons learned, joys, mistakes, celebrations, losses, and heartaches when met with compassion and mindfulness all seed a more vibrant and fulfilling 2026.

“There are lessons for us in all things, even the hard things, especially the things that break our heart.”

If you’d like structure on delving into end of year reflections and new year visioning, I highly recommend the year compass, free to download www.yearcompass.com

Wishing you and yours a cozy and peaceful farewell to 2025 as we witness the year come to a close, a sunset to what has been a year of high-highs and crushing lows.

One winter landscape painting of mine from 2020, the cropped version - no easel or background visible. The colors in this photo are the closest to the original painting.

❄️We had our first snow flurry here yesterday, it felt peaceful and soothing to the nerves. I thought I’d share some artists (or accounts that these pieces are via) whose work has been lending that same kind of wonder, for me anyway. I hope you enjoy.

We have another round of Full Cup happening on Sunday, Dec 17th at the divine @motherlion_bayview .

The grief of the collective that is being held by so many is so much more than @work_with_libby and I imagined when we thought these out during the summer.

The first Full Cup was beautiful and nourishing and healing and magic. I think this one will be the same. We will do the active breath work, we will hold space for grief, we will have nourishing food and softness and hot tubs and saunas. So much space for you to come rest as we approach the solstice and during the busy-ness of holidays for many.

I will shout forever that grief work is liberation work. It feeds our own liberation from the stories and structures that bind us in a state of agitation and pain, keeping us from moving forward to a state of awe and wonder at all that is around us.

Come, be held in community. Links in the usual place.
🏆💐✨
