While I wait on getting all my photos in order from @dfwfiberfest last weekend… Let’s appreciate this haul!

I feel like I was able to see so many wonderful friends and vendors throughout the weekend and was able to walk away on Sunday knowing I got some great stuff!

We spent how much?!

I'm actually not sure how much me and my mom spent this weekend but I can say damage was done (oops we might be bad influences on each other)!

Getting to spend another year with my mom at @dfwfiberfest has been such a fun experience. This year we only took one class which was social media for makers with @knitgraffiti. Last year we took one of her brioche classes. It's always fun to learn new things and experience new things!

This first photo is the bag I'm now using for my tessellated vest I have started and I'm obsessed with it! I'm obsessed with Peter Rabbit and have been since a kid probably because my nursery as a child was Peter Rabbit themed and I wore many Peter Rabbit items as a kid. It will always remind me of my late grandmother who is kind of the reason me and my mother @foxbanefibers knit and craft!

I had a mission!

When we first got to fiberfest I knew I needed more of the yarn matter yarn I got only six months ago. I got one skien and realized if I want to make a garment I'll need more! I still don't have a full plan for them but I know I want to make something cute!

We stopped at twisted ambitions booth and I did a little mystery pack and got this gorgeous color on the left!

A dragon puppet?!

So this yarn is something I'm excited to work on soon! There was a vendor who I could not find social media for but she's called Ellen's Wooly Adventure. I cannot stress this enough her patterns are so cute and she had a dragon puppet which might become my mascot in coming videos and probably make his debut at my monthly DND campaign too! These colors from cascade yarns which I got at on the lamb shoppe booth with cascade yarns.

What a weekend! @dfwfiberfest was an amazing experience. Thanks to everyone who visited our booth. It was great making new friends and reconnecting with old friends. It’s such a privilege to be surrounded and embraced by my people, my yarnies. My love to you all. Can’t wait for the next one. ❤️🧶

Looking far ahead to the #statefairofvirginia and looking back on the #dogwoodfibertrail2026, I'm grooving on a lace design #lacedwithhoneyshawl by @gbmotherhen. I have the word of the delightful @whitebirchfiberarts that I should squash by with this generous 1300 yd gradient 🫣🤨. I'm in my happy place! #blackgirlsknit #ravelry

@dfwfiberfest did not disappoint! This year was even extra special because I got to enjoy it with the oldest Foxcub 🥹

We started with a class by Lesley Anne Robinson @knitgraffiti and learned brioche knitting. We enjoyed it so much, we continued practicing when we got back to the hotel and #knitpastourbedtime.

The next morning required COFFEE ☕ then on to the fest where we made a beeline for @woolneedlethread to try to snatch up a patchwork bag I had my eye on (someone beat me to it by like 5 minutes!). We each ended up with adorable project backpacks.

Next up was a mandatory stop at @twisted.ambitions.yarn to say hi to Ross and his hubby, Steve. (Ross's yarn is the sleeve on my top! It was the inspiration for my entire ensemble 🧡)

Foxcub #1 won a doorprize during our class Thursday night from @biscotteyarns. I also picked up a beautiful silk blend. We saw Lesley again, who signed her book for Paris, and I had to pick up the Central Perk Stitch Stoppers from @fangirlfibers

We both loved one of @achickthatknitz assigned pooling colors and decided we'd take inspiration from her framed swatches and make artwork out of a shared skein. While there, I had to say hi to Stacy from @yarnandyou who I hadn't seen in far too long!

Found the perfect companion to one of the cotton fibers I got from my virtual Flock haul and visited with @316dyestudio. I was also really happy to get one of her batts that I couldn't get at Flock since she sold out!

I picked up the perfect companion to my silk blend from Biscotte at @ewe2yarn (she's not too far and I, sadly, have never been to her store!)

Also found the perfect little notions pouch at @m.a.b.e.lstyle to match my bag and will keep Ross's face protected when they aren't protecting my needle tips 😂

Saw friends like @zenknitter @lyknit and @hojichad. Since Paris is now living on the other side of the metroplex, I had to introduce her to @jujuknitsfw and @maceofskeins too because I know they'll welcome her with open arms!

Looking forward to next year!

Cast on a new project today ✨ The Ranunculus by Midori Hirose has been on my list forever, and I finally jumped in! Using Red Stag Fiber’s Manor Collection in Royal Ballet on their Yorkshire Sport base, held double on 6mm needles, and wow, it’s flying off the needles already. 💕 So excited to see this one grow!
