UPDATE: Thanks to @ryley_brownlie, my boiler is fixed! ❤️ Thank you so so so SO much! ❤️❤️❤️ —————— Oh, the joys of being a homeowner, especially when you’re a single woman who knows almost nothing about boilers and is terrified of anything involving gas! 😂🙈 I spent the entire weekend working (despite my normal working hours being Monday to Friday - well, it seems increasingly impossible to get work done within normal working hours). So, after another full day of work today, all I wanted was a nice, warm bath before going to bed. But of course, just as I was about to relax, I realised there was no hot water! So I went downstairs to check the boiler, only to discover that the pressure in the heating system was too low. I feel like I should know how to fix this myself, especially as I knew how to repressurise my previous boiler before it eventually broke down and I had this one installed! I even asked ChatGPT to help me figure out how to fix it and locate the right valve. I found instructions mentioning some blue valve, but apparently, there is no blue valve anywhere to be found! 😂 The only thing I managed to discover was some random leak, with water dripping drop by drop 🤦🏻‍♀️ And the funniest part? This Worcester Bosch boiler is only two years old! I specifically picked it because I was terrified of having boiler problems. My friend even raised her eyebrows when she saw which boiler I’d chosen! 😂 I even paid extra to double the guarantee, thinking I’d bought myself some peace of mind. And yet, here we are! 🤦🏻‍♀️ The last time I remember the heating working was yesterday, so something must have happened since then. Anyway, I ended up having a cold shower, and now I’m lying in bed, absolutely freezing, trying to get some sleep. Honestly, there’s always something! I can figure out plenty of things on my own, but anything involving gas? No, thank you! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Can anyone spot the blue valve I’m supposed to use to repressurise the boiler in these photos? 😅🤣 (😭😭😭) @worcesterbosch @worcesterboschprofessional #HomeownerLife #WorcesterBosch #SingleWomanLife #HomeMaintenance #RealLife

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome Jo Shepherd, CEO of @worcesterbosch, Nicola Lannie from Better Together and @hannahcsole to Worcestershire Royal Hospital to deliver beautiful Tropic skincare care bags to patients on our Rowan Suite, along with wellbeing treats for staff. 🎁 Around six months ago, Hannah, a tropic skincare consultant, approached the charity with the idea of securing sponsorship from local businesses to fund Tropic care bags for cancer patients. Since then, Hannah has worked hard to bring this wonderful initiative to life, securing support from several local businesses including @worcesterbosch, Better Together, @foleyparkdentalandimplant and @allanmorrisworcester, with more donors also expressing interest in this meaningful project. 💙 We were thrilled to see the project come to life yesterday, with more than 30 care bags gifted to patients, alongside wellbeing treats for staff on Rowan Suite. During their visit, Jo, Nicola and Hannah also received a tour of Rowan Suite and our Oncology inpatient wards, Laurel 2 and Laurel 3 from Laura, Matron for Haematology & Oncology, Sam, Nurse Consultant in Cancer Care and Lead SACT Nurse; and Lamisa, Staff Nurse. This gave them the opportunity to see first-hand the care provided by our teams and the difference these thoughtful gifts can to the patient experience. A huge Thank you @worcesterbosch, Better Together, @foleyparkdentalandimplant and @allanmorrisworcester for supporting this fantastic initiative, and to Hannah for coming up with such a thoughtful idea and making it happen. Hannah hopes to expand the project over the coming months, reaching more cancer service wards across all three of our hospital sites: Worcestershire Royal Hospital, the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, and Kidderminster Hospital and Treatment Centre. 💙
