Last August we started off the season in a topsy-turvy fashion

A home loss against Lincoln United and a draw away at Kidsgrove was followed by 2 memorable games against Worcester City in the FA Cup, Will Whieldon with the pick of the goals.

We then went on to smash Gresley 4-0 at home before having the tables reversed on us with a 5-0 drubbing away at Frickley, one of the low points of the season!

VERSATILE George Forsyth has handed Worcester City a boost by signing on the dotted line for the new season.

The 21-year-old agreed terms with the Blue and Whites just hours after John Snape’s men were dealt a blow when Robbie Bunn and Nathan Hayward moved on, despite initially agreeing to sign for City.

Forsyth first joined Worcester on loan from Gloucester City last August and made his debut away against Coventry United, before joining on a permanent basis in October. ‘Fozzy’ initially signed to provide competition for his favoured position as a centre midfielder.

However, he was also used in a variety of positions including at right-back and centre-back as he racked up 36 appearances for City, scoring five goals.

His versatility proved to be an asset for Snape during the latter stages of the campaign in the Midland League Premier Division and the midfielder was a popular figure with the City faithful, winning three player of the month awards and sponsors player of the season. “I’m 21, playing week in, week out and crossing the white line every Saturday enjoying my football is most important thing,” he said. #worcester #football #worcestercity

NEW City midfielder Robbie Bunn has revealed he cannot wait to join up with his team-mates after agreeing terms with the Blue and Whites for the #MidlandFootballLeague Premier Division campaign.

The Victoria Ground will be familar surroundings for Bunn, who joined #Bromsgrove Sporting at the start of the 2016/17 season from #Redditch United and played a huge part in the Rouslers’ path to ‘Invincible’ Midland League Division One champions.

He notched up ten goals in 47 appearances in all competitions during his debut season at the Victoria Ground and was a huge driving force in midfield alongside Ahmed Ali.

The 23-year-old’s efforts were rewarded at the start of the 2017/18 campaign when then Sporting manager Paul Smith put his midfield maestro on contract.

Bunn was once again a key man in the centre of the park for Sporting, scoring 13 goals in 36 appearances before terminating his contract and departing the Midland League Premier Division champions for Littleton after Smith suddenly quit from his post at the end of February.

During his time with the Ton Boys, Bunn scored four goals in 16 outings. “I am delighted to get the signing sorted and have something to put my all into and also look forward to the coming season,” he told the Observer. “Worcester City is a massive club which finds itself in a lower league than they should be, which acts as a drive for players to work as hard as possible to make sure the club is moving in the right direction. “There are some great lads and players at the club who I’m looking forward to joining up with in pre-season. That’s the drive and commitment Snapper (boss John Snape) shows towards the players and club which are two huge factors in my decision to join the club.” City chief Snape said: “Robbie is a complete all-rounder who works from box to box and can play anywhere across the midfield four.”

Great post from @scienceforsport!
In Football, the Christmas and January period is an extremely busy schedule for the English Premier League! Pep Guadiola, @mcfcofficial manager, has recently said this schedule will "kill" the players!
Whilst this is rather extreme, this research may show he has a point!
Who thinks the Christmas and January schedule is too busy? And who doesn't?
