A space where practitioners, leaders, and thinkers can learn from one another and define the future of work ⬇️
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
The most compelling workplaces today are designed around one core fundamental: a day well spent. This means frictionless workflows, meaningful collaboration and spaces that support autonomy and momentum. The best workplaces iterate with intention, adjusting to how the workforce is responding in real time. The modern and magnetic workplace doesn’t try to force attendance — it earns it. By designing with intentionality, we can create places and experiences employees don’t want to miss. The workplace is moving away from being utilized and thought of as a container for people and desks. Instead, it is becoming a living system, a stage for culture and a platform for growth. When design begins with experience, purpose and alignment, the office can transform from a cost center into a force multiplier for the organization.

Great workplaces are not defined by a single way of working. They make different ways of working feel equally natural. The office adapts throughout the day. Movable partitions and mobile furniture allow meeting and training areas to be reconfigured, while acoustic pods and quieter settings support focus and confidential conversations. The cafeteria, booth seating and informal areas create space for both individual work and connection. What stands out most is the balance between openness and privacy, technology and comfort, efficiency and identity. Glazed spaces, planting, warm materials and a consistent language of curved forms create a workplace that feels professional without becoming impersonal.

QUIET SOPHISTICATION In workplaces, some details are non-negotiable. Acoustic performance and confidentiality were just as important as the visual result. What looks simple is often the hardest thing to execute well. A project where design and execution work together — without either needing to shout.

Hendrick's work on the Mag Mutual headquarters in Atlanta was recently featured in Work Design Magazine. The 40,000 square foot hospitality-forward headquarters supports a hybrid workforce with a range of workspaces, meeting environments, wellness amenities, and technology-enabled spaces — all shaped by a deep workplace strategy engagement with the Mag Mutual team before a single design decision was made. The result is a space that gives employees real choice in how and where they work. Early feedback has been enthusiastic. Hybrid work is not solved by removing desks. It is solved by giving people better reasons to come together. A neighborhood office layout divides a large workplace into smaller, dedicated zones. Workstations sit along the façades to benefit from natural light, while a central core brings together meeting rooms, phone booths and informal collaboration settings. Colour and materiality give each setting its own identity and make the workplace easier to navigate.

Architecture and interior design are about more than space alone; they also depend on a building’s relationship with its surroundings. When I was asked to photograph the newly refurbished Warwick Court in London, I aimed to capture that connection by framing each view through the design of the interior. London’s skyline is one of the most recognisable in the world. Offices that overlook landmarks such as St Paul’s Cathedral, the Thames, or the evolving City cluster — offer more than visual pleasure. They shape how people feel at work. From attracting top talent to shaping brand identity, the address and the views from a workspace can influence everything from productivity to long term business growth. It was important to feature the buildings unique position next to St Pauls Cathedral and views of the city in the final set of photographs. High floor offices in developments like Warwick Court offer expansive views that become part of the daily rhythm of work. They combine architectural excellence with curated views, terraces, biophilic design, and neighbourhood vibrancy. This creates an environment where people feel connected to the city’s energy without being overwhelmed by it. When photographing Warwick Court, the camera height was an important consideration to frame key elements of the view within the design of the space. Office locations and views influence how people feel, how clients perceive a business, and how a brand positions itself in one of the world’s most competitive cities. As companies rethink the purpose of the workplace, choosing the right location and securing inspiring views has become one of the most powerful ways to create environments where people want to be, work, and succeed. #photography #photographer #interiordesign #architecture #architect #theview #skyline #frame #terraces #biophilia #environment #city #energy #inspiring #creative #interiorphotographer #architecturephotographer

From workplace environments to shared amenities, training spaces, and everything in between, each project has been an opportunity to create spaces that work harder for the people who use them. Different needs, different solutions, one continued collaboration we’re proud to be part of.

Why workplace design matters for workplaces !! Design has a direct effect on how employees experience the office. A poorly planned layout forces people to work in environments that do not match their tasks — open areas too loud for focused work, meeting rooms too small for the teams using them. Well-designed spaces reduce friction. When employees can easily find a quiet area, book the right room, or move between collaboration and concentration without disruption, they spend less cognitive energy navigating the environment. Workplace design also affects real estate efficiency. Spaces designed around actual usage patterns — informed by space management data — tend to use fewer square metres to achieve the same outcomes.

Workplace branding extends a company’s identity, values, and culture into the physical and operational work environment. It bridges the gap between external brand promises and internal employee experience to foster pride, alignment, and engagement. Core Elements of Workplace Branding: Physical Environment: Integrating logos, color palettes, environmental graphics, and architecture into office spaces. Cultural Storytelling: Displaying mission statements, core values, history timelines, and team achievements on walls or shared spaces. Functional Spaces: Designing meeting rooms, breakout areas, and collaboration hubs that mirror company workflow and philosophy. Internal Touchpoints: Aligning everyday tools, onboarding rituals, recognition programs, and employee swag with the core brand identity.

From the comfy couches in the office lounge to the cozy rugs and ambient lighting in the conference room, resimercial design is all about bringing the comforts of home into the workplace. By prioritizing employee wellbeing, this design philosophy not only enhances the aesthetics of a workspace but also boosts productivity and overall job satisfaction. It’s a win-win situation that incorporates natural light, comfortable furniture and elements that evoke a sense of homeliness, such as warm lighting, soft textiles and plants, alongside seamless technological integration. This fusion approach has captured the attention of employers looking to create a dynamic and appealing work environment.
